ChvVolk 2,324 Posted March 24, 2020 Share Posted March 24, 2020 I'm not too upset, I still am bopping to The Slow Rush, I'm shiny hatching in Pokemon Shield, I have animal crossing and I'm painting pots for spring plants, buuuut I just hope nothing bad happens to me by the time this album is out. The way the media is talking about California, where I'm from, sounds like it's only gonna get worse and I still gave work. Music is one of those things. I don't think delaying music is a good decision. With so much fear, anxiety and uncertainty, things like music, games, movies are more important than ever for people. The theory I’ve seen for it is that a lot of people stream music on their way to work or school, at the gym, basically when they’re on the move. But after calming down, I realize this will help the album/era overall in the end. The anticipation has raised significantly. The world needs to dance and be happy...this goes against everything she has said about the album leading up to this decision. I know I’m probably overreacting and there are worse things out there. She made a decision, it’s her body of work and if she doesn’t want to release it without the things she had planned for it then so be it. I’m disappointed too but hey, that’s life. It’s her first attempt at a proper dance/pop album since the ARTPOP era and that era went all wrong and caused her a lot of distress. She is probably dreading the same would happen now. Let it be. Social distancing rules are very strict where I live right now (police surveillance and arrests if not obeying to the rules)and I'm sure it's the same around the world.
