My dad hasn't lost his job yet (although his hours were somewhat reduced but that was before corona, it's unrelated) so for now they don't need it

Canadians really are not THAT different from the typical American

 

Like what do you think is the Country in the world that most closely resembles the US in culture?

 

Yeah...

 

Like i been to the US so many times and have family in different States. Tho theres suble differences overall its almost exactly the same. Canada is a near carbon copy of the US in almost everything with the main 2 differences being that guns are banned for general population and our healthcare system is different

When I was like 10 years old my parents sent me to an overnight summer camp, and one of the kids was from the US and almost everyone bullied her so much, saying she was fat and stupid like all Americans and stupid stuff like “your president is dumb” (ahhh, the Bush years...)

It was bad and I deeply regret joining in on it/not standing up for her because it was pretty cruel. 

But yeah Canadians think we are soooo much better than the US and turn a blind eye or have zero awareness of the many awful & unpleasant aspects of Canada. I think it’s funny that people say Canadians are nice when so many people are very pompous and have pretty cruel attitudes towards USA.
