I mean, corona wasn't around when Stupid Love was released yet she only did 2 interviews in radios. I doubt they'd go like full promo with TV performances, interviews, radios and everything when the whole thing was out. She could've done that with her comeback after 4 years and she didn't, so... They did the same strategy with Joanne. All the important promo was done during release week of the album. Yeah the soundtrack was played, but it wasn't heavily discussed among the gp. Shallow and ARUTW are the only two songs that stuck with the gp. That's not overexposure. A 2019 release would have been just fine. Especially because of the difference in sound from ASIB. We know she and Bloodpop etc were working on it right up to the last few weeks. And maybe he's still working on it.. So how can she regret something that was never a possibility in the first place? Her album will come out and she and Interscope will make the safest and smartest choice for her from a personal and business stand. Sorry but I'm gonna trust the professionals and not a bored 19 Yr old who hasn't showered in 3 days who just wants the album NOW!!!!!! Gaga was EVERYWHERE during ASIB award season. And then even when she went underground she was still in the tabloids bc of the Bradley rumours. It would have been overkill. And she needed some time to separate from the ASIB persona and image. And people are tired of Ariana too.i don't follow what her fans say but I know that my impression was that non fans need a break from her and that she seems to be spitting out very mediocre songs to line scooter braun's pocket.
