As announced via Facebook and Youtube by Giuseppe Conte, the prime minister of Italy, since 22/03 in Italy any not-strictly-necessary productive activity will be closed.
Only supermarkets, pharmacies, postal offices, banks, grocery shops and main transport services will stay open.
No outside fitness activities will be permitted if not very closed to one's own house.

Thought it was already like this tbh :S

No, many factories were open to avoid huge economic losses, but clearly is no longer acceptable (to me they should have done this before, tho...):smh:

People are really getting crazy, in Salerno a person was attacked with a bucket of water and insulted for being outside, but she was just a pharmacist going back home...:messga:

But you’ll also need food manufacturers to stock the supermarkets, tech companies to keep the banks secure, mechanics for the transport repairs, trade printers for the postal industry, etc.

It’s scary to recognize how many people will still need to work, but just keep social distances people. And isolate as much as possible!

Get the pinot ready, because it's turtle time.

Too late tbh, this should have been done weeks ago. Today there have been 6000 new infections, 800 dead. If they had really closed everything from the beginning, now the situation would be better

Why so many deaths? Is Italy an aging society as well?

It's a tricky situation because, in every country, it gets worse before it gets better. Since the virus has a two week-period incubation, most rules will only show true effects after that time. And Italy is still living consequences from two weeks ago. There were not 6000 new infections today, these 6000 infections are from a few days ago and are being confirmed today.

I agree they should be more strict, but at the end of the day a big mess is already done and strict rules today won't change the outcome tomorrow :(

About 3 hours ago I went outside (like right beside my flat) to take out the trash and witnessed two people getting reported by police officers for not being at home

Also considering their smoking habits and the population of Chinese factory workers that had just come back from holiday in China unknowingly spreading the virus.

I knew Italy hadn’t yet closed unnecessary jobs — the company I work for has some manufacturers in Italy that were still working on and providing furniture for our clients globally. It’ll impact us a bit and call for very frustrated customers (who likely will understand the issue and not get angry ) — but honestly I prefer this. It’ll mean a lot less sick people.

Im still working in a small room. 40 people use the room everyday and we are less than a arm distance. We are very worried cause we are so close and It's very risky.
