Rio 5,088
Italian's have a high ageing population - this is expected. I also don't believe China have revealed a lot and Japan is a success story in itself. I get this is serious and no it isn't just a normal flu, but in a way, it ain't that much different. It's a virus, and this one can have more serious implications (like pneumonia) in the 70 and over age groups, or people with underlying health conditions. But guess what, flu can cause pnemonia too and has still killed more in 2020 so far globally - and personally I think every country needs to go in to lockdown. Numbers and evidence don't lie. Fed up of people disregarding the ones who say "the flu kills more". I'm more neutral on both sides of the argument since the outbreak started. We don't need another killer virus. I haven't read up much on Japan or Germany, but they're doing something right. Japan, especially, as they have the highest ageing population!! The global peak is coming, have faith and respect social distancing guidelines. Unfortunately, many nations and governments aren't taking it seriously enough, but it's got to pass and many will unfortunately die. It's a virus outbreak - a more serious one than usual and could have been prevented in China. I stayed in Friday night whilst many people my age went and partied in town one last night before the pubs and clubs shut indefinitely.
HookerOnAChurch 6,799
In Bergamo (northern Italy) a person dies every half hour, the crematory ovens never stop working. It's a nightmare!

KatieJudasGaga4 67,907
So where are the two members I won't tag that said this virus isn't serious at all.
Helxig 45,336
One thing to remember guys: In Italy 23% of the population is over 65! That means that almost 1/4 of their population are in the compromised zone, e.g. one out of every four people you meet is over 65. And their country was hit very hard with the spread of the virus. Still scary high death tolls! But lets not spread fear and panic during these trying times. People are already mentally fragile and we don't need any more hysteria. As long as we actually follow the guidelines in place right now then most of us will be fine. Wash your hands thoroughly, be conscious of touching your face, if you aren't already on lockdown then don't go into public, if you're feeling sick get tested, eat your vitamin C, stay away from elderly relatives. And for the love of god you f.ucking horny gays STOP HOOKING UP! Can't you just take care of yourselves at home for a f.ucking month or two. It's not even funny at this point, it's disgustingly irresponsible. Don't be the stereotype that gays rampantly spread disease through reckless sex practises. I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
