Don't like the song based on the snippet either. It feels void and corny.

That said I think she is trying to make a play on words as in she is saying in some part of the song "that's gossip" "talk it out" and then she says "Babylon" which she is also saying in a way that could be understood as "babble on". Babbling means to talk a lot of nonsense basically. Basically it's a song about gossiping, talking things out and babbling on I guess :selena:

So she was just looking for a rhyme for “babble on”... not me thinking it could be a conceptual track like Judas or Venus :icega:

yeah basically I think I cracked the code :selena: If it is what I said then I think she thought she did something with that play on words I guess :selena:

The lyrics make no sense (judging only by the snippet) like what the hell does Babylon has to do with fashion?

im curious to hear the full song and understand how she connected these two things

Omg thank you. The song is horrible. I’m praying the full thing is so much better! But like how are people on Twitter praising it :bradley:

"My name is Dita, I'll be your Mistress tonight..."

How do we know it's about fashion?

I don't know I'm harsh on Gaga but I think the song is great. At least sonically. Lyrically I'll wait and see but she was never a truly great lyricist anyway.

Well she talks about walking, serving and strutting, I’m assuming it’s related to fashion

She’s the one who wrote Bad Romance, Bloody Mary, You and I ....she is a great lyricist

As if a black Jesus has anything to do with fashion...

It does. Viewing Jesus as a black man means having a new perspective in life and the song is about how she moved to downtown to start her career and how fashion helped her to see this new perspective
