Is anyone else getting tired of celebs and celeb culture?

Kind of yeah, but still at the same time it's entertaining and makes me laugh, so I guess some of them are doing their job as entertainer which is nice.

Honestly I think it’s fun seeing celebrities trying to lift people’s spirits during this time. Ellen’s videos are fun to watch, Jimmy Fallon has been making Tonight Show videos from home, so many artists are doing concerts from their homes. We’re all in this together, we’re all struggling in some way, some more than others, but we’re still all impacted by this. I’m enjoying seeing what celebrities are up to, I find it entertaining.

We're bored but not that bored we have to post it. Rose's eating a lot lately though... Jisoo is busy balancing water bottles... and Lisa... well. Um, let's just say she's emotionally attached with her cats.

The "Imagine" thing was cringe and tone deaf, but honestly....a lot of the rage seems misdirected. Be mad at the authorities for not having enough tests, not celebrities (who are in contact with people who tested positive) for getting tests. It's like, "do you want an NBA player, who has a locker next to someone who tested positive, to not get a test in solidarity with working class people who can't get a test?" What happens if he gets the disease and ends up in the hospital? The "moral" solidarity sure does a lot of good then, huh, when he's gasping for breath? Also, Sam Smith is kind of insufferable...but Ariana, Taylor, Ellen, Gaga, etc. have a lot of fans and many people aren't taking social distancing seriously. Maybe, just maybe, they can get through to a handful of  them  by posting about self-isolation.

TLDR: People need to stop putting celebs up on pedestals, but a lot of times "dragging" and "tearing them down" for certain things just seems like overkill. There was some viral post dragging some random celeb...and all they said was "I hope people are staying inside if they are able to do so." That said, I'm glad Gaga isn't saying anything right now because a lot of people are getting dragged for nothing...

I've never really cared or paid attention to celebrity culture, although some of the criticism in this thread is kind of confusing.

Sam Smith is being stupid and he is privileged as hell. Honestly speaking, there are people who are worried because they cant get food or pay rent or might lose their jobs or have an elderly family member to worry about on top of all this. Him posting this photo is a disgrace. I understand that money does not solve everything but this just screams attention seeking. He has millions, he can probably afford an immense amount of luxury we normal plebs cant even fathom .

I just tend to ignore them all the time. For example i am not the biggest fan of Gaga's personality tbh. I find her very fake but her music woow, that is a different thing.

I don't see anything wrong with Ellen saying she's bored. It doesn't matter how much money someone has, a human being can still be bored. I have a television, a boyfriend, two cats, board games, video games, the Internet, music, etc...and guess what...I too am bored. 

Sam Smith on the other hand 

I have always found it so fcking awkward and weird when anyone cries and takes photos of it to post online...it's weird. 

I find it weird when Gaga does it. I found it weird when DJWS did it. And I find it weird that Sam Smith did it.
