Gaga has had to work her ass off to make almost all of her singles successful. That means promo and performances. Sadly with Stupid Love, Gaga cant do any of that. So she has to rely on the single to rise organically with radio picking it up and streaming. Radio has been receptive which is fantastic, but streaming(which has always been a weak spot with Gaga) is proving to be difficult. If Stupid Love really does fade out, I hope Gaga and her label dont just give up. The public really likes Gaga, she just needs the right single to capitalize on that.

I refuse to believe its flopping. Its just sleeping. Gaga said herself it was a big hit WW. They must know its going to take off at some point

Stare at the Chartster in the mirror they talk to me too. #StreamFunTonight

Its not doing great, but I dont think we should give up on it yet. The radio reception is really a very good sign. If it holds stable on streaming and continues to improve on radio, Gaga might have a nice hit on her hands.

The song will probably serve some longevity in the UK, Australia and Canada but it’s literally bombing everywhere else. The sooner you accept that it won’t smash, the better tbh. :air:

Can’t say I’ surprised though, albeit I do love the song. :billie:

She's sleeping. It's not about bombing. She's building on radio on streaming.

Quote me in two weeks time when SL starts to build momentum :flutter:

I dont think it's fair to give up on a grower like SL after a month. I'd say it needs about 5 weeks then we can write it off.

Radio is already slowing down in the US as expected. At some point radio DJs will drop it, whether due to its tragic performance on streaming or if the callouts are bad. :air:

I’m always ready and glad to be proven wrong, but this case.... :lolly:

It sucks because she cant promote it anywhere. Every Gaga hit has been dependent on promo of some variety, but Stupid Love has gotten zilch. I wonder what the Kia Soul Hamsters are up to.

Its doing almost identically to Applause on radio, but when Applause came out Spotify and Apple Music weren't in the equation. Stupid Love is probably doing very similar to Applause on Itunes too.

I still have faith in Stupid Love, but I’ll believe it when I see it.

Maybe if COVID-19 wasn’t huge. She would have gave us live performances so this probably could’ve happened.

This place is exhausting sometimes. Regardless of what happens with its performance in the coming weeks, its top 5 debut and positive reception from YT reactions to critics to radio programmers is a massive  win and smash for her career. To be at basically top 10 on both Pop and Hot AC Radio three weeks into her lead single is amazing and something she hasn’t done since 2013.

She is now the 23rd most streamed artist on Spotify, so everything is set for her to have a successful era off the heals of a top 5, palatable single.

As for radio call outs, it debuted at #3 with a 103 score and identified as a future hit on a website used by programmers to rate reception and potential for airplay.

This is all good news. Spin it negatively if that suits you.

Stupid Love has only been out three short weeks and is about to spend its 3rd week in the top 50 in the US (possibly top 40), its stayed top 15 since debut in the UK, and will possibly climb back into the top 50 in places like France. Its also sat at #37 shazam Global.

To me, this shows that the song has only just started, not that its over as some members have cruelly pointed out.

I'd say, we may just be surprised with stupid love's performance in the next few weeks :vegas:

This is the kind of joke I needed to shake some stress off from all this COVID-19 sht! 😂😂😂😂

Stupid Love's euphoric vibe doesn't resonate with the current anxious mood of Corona spreading, so it's understandable.
