I downloaded the twitter video and have it on repeat (this is like repeat 100 lmao)

It really does sound like an early bowie song. Fashion was the immediate thought for me.

We know that Gaga played four songs during the photoshoot. 

The guy who did the interview tweeted and said that this wasn't the same version of the song she played him during the shoot. 

Bobby liked that tweet. 

However, people are annoyed that Gaga would even play the song knowing people could record it. 

Yet the snippet clearly has camera shutter sounds, making it seem more likely that the song was recorded at the shoot, and they are just trying to save face. 

Gaga should literally let NO ONE listen to her music until the day it releases.

Oh I see so it's just assumed so far this recording is from then, reminds me of when she played songs from BTW for the news presenter and told the crew to cut the cameras but any of them could have recorded on their phones.

Despite the camera shutters it could still be a similar thing with SL and an older version

The snippet is from when they filmed the Haus Labs campaign launch video. I was the one who had the tea on the title “Babylon” last summer but subliminally hid it in the “Gaga filming something” thread out of respect to Gaga and my friend who gave me the intel.

For those who didn’t see my follow up on the thread, my friend was one of the models in the Haus Labs launch video and Gaga was blasting the song the entire time they were shooting. This is obviously where that leak came from. Keep in mind they filmed the launch video last summer so this is likely far from the final studio version.

Was there a DJ - because you clearly hear the intro of Fame by Bowie start. Maybe it doesnt sample Bowie but instead this recording is a DJ mixing Babylon into Fame

okay thanks makes total sense why it isn't the final version, but just like stupid love she's obviously been sitting on year plus old music for some reason. And that sucks that someone from the campaign shoot broke her trust

when I very first heard it I thought it was possibly what she was originally singing over like with Venus and that mixdown just didn't remove Fame yet
