We know Admin is behind that account, and they have definitely been wrong before and have had to later correct themselves by saying that things had changed and were out of their control. Safe to say that nobody can really know, however the virus has prevented this album from getting a proper rollout, and there is no denying that they will lose money if they put the album out in the midst of all this. Yes, it would slay our lives and bring us happiness, but for most people this isn’t anywhere near their radar of things to be thinking about. Gaga WANTS to give this her all, and she can’t right now because of what the world is going through. I hope she does push it back, if only so that she can give the album the promo it deserves. It appears she will b.c. of the lack of promo.

If she and her label don't care about sales, then release it as planned.  If they do care... well I think it's safe to say no but her fans care about getting a new album right now.  They're more worried about staying employed to buy groceries and most importantly the health of themselves and their family.

 

If it were me, I'd push it back.  Not so much because of sales, but so that the world can truly appreciate an album she's worked on for years.

She should let people know ASAP if it’s going to be pushed back, as people have already invested money in preorders, tickets etc and have a right to know. 
However I think it would be really stupid to push it back, other than first week sales physical copies don’t really matter, and she’s always said she’s music not the bling so...

People are still streaming and buying music though.  The #1 song on Spotify Italy had 300k streams yesterday despite the terrible situation there. Also, The Weeknd has had nearly 1m global presaves on Apple Music for his new album out tonight.

I want this era to go exactly as planned, so if it needs to be pushed back, it should be. And that's coming from the person who meltdowned for 1 year and a half in the LG6 discussion post because it was taking too long. 

Plus I feel like if this whole situation ends around June and she releases then, it'll get a huge boost as it's shaping up to be a very danceable album. People will want to party and this will be perfect for it. We could get song of the summer. Here for it tbh

People are saying that this pandemic could last for many months. Releasing it during the summer might be even worse than release it now. If they're delaying it,  they wouldn't delay it by only a couple of months. They'd release it during the Fall/Winter.

While I think it'd be extremely  unfortunate and disappointing if she delayed the album, this is not the way to go about handling it.

Another thought, for myself and many others, this album is something positive to distract from and look forward to in the middle of a lot of very bad stuff that’s happening right now. It would be really disheartening to see it postponed along with everything else, given that so many things that people have been looking forward to have already been cancelled or banned.

I’m torn because gaga has made it clear that Chromatica is meant to make the world happy and dance, which is something we all need and want right now. Knowing her I’m sure she wants to continue to release April 10 since that’s what she cares about the most. 
 

However, the other part of me realizes that this means no promo and live performances, which for me are some of the most exciting parts to a new era. I love when she goes on talk shows and snl and her promo tours in general just because we get so much new and exciting info. If she were to stick with the original release date we’d get basically none of this. 

It’s just hard because it all comes down to either a) getting new music sooner but little promo and the era is quick. Or b) waiting longer but having a more traditional era with interviews/tv/performances etc

I can believe it. I think Insync was the first account to state that the SL video would be an apple collab. And the other things theyve stated havent been proven as fake either. They stated a few times that the SL date was pushed back, which I guess put people off. But theyve been around since like 2018.

Anyway I trust Gaga with whatever she feels is best. I would like it to be released on time, since it's one of the few things I can hold on to at the moment that distracts me from the corona chaos around.. but yeah everyones life is on hold. It would be good if dancing through the pain actually meant that she's releasing it to support everyone, but I guess her label has the last say!
