I’ve come to peace with the idea of him dropping out. It is what it is. Nothing more he can really do at this point. Biden is sweeping up more wins in other primaries. Was a valiant effort.

There are ways to keep social security a solvent program. Anyway, you came here to defend Biden under any circumstances that you missed my original point. Even if I accepted your comment as truth, why did Biden lie about his record on Sunday night instead of saying what you just said? And if he’s willing to lie about something you are saying is the obvious truth, what is Biden going to do about hard truths? Is he all of a sudden going to be honest with the American people? No. He will do what Trump consistently does. Lie and move the goal posts. So your in support of removing Trump to insert his Democratic Party version of Trump.

Again, the exit polling show people agree with Bernie on the issues. This is my 3rd time telling you this. Idk how much more simple I can make this. 

 

Bernies plans are not the issue. People are afraid that somehow the invisible swing voter in Wisconsin would prefer Biden over Bernie. So they are voting for Biden because they are irrational with regard to who can beat Trump.

Again, the exit polls are based on people who VOTED. 

People didn’t vote based on ideology. They voted on electability. If you actually read exit polls, you would know that. I know that reading is fundamental but apparently not everyone is capable of it.

I think that's a dangerous way of thinking though. Look. I 1000000000% support Bernie Sanders. Anyone who's seen any of my comments in these political threads knows that. I supported Warren last year, but this year, I took a hard left to Bernie. He's the candidate that I believe fights for the working class and actually has their interests at heart. I think Biden is definitely the inferior choice between the two. His inconsistent record and the fact that he can't even seem to form a coherent sentence are more than enough for me to see that he is the worse candidate out of him and Bernie.

That being said, if/when Biden gets the nomination (because honestly, I believe at this point, he will get the nomination), I think it is imperative that we vote for him. I don't agree with his policies or the way he wants to run things, but this is truly a "lesser of two evils" situation. We cannot have Trump running this country for 4 more years. We just can't. The hope we have right now, as Progressives, is to elect progressive congressmen/women. That's already being done. We can also hopefully  move Biden to a more progressive agenda. He's already said that he agrees with free college tuition—to a certain extent. 

In November, if Biden gets the nomination, we need to vote for him. Because it is that kind of attitude that will get Trump another 4 more years. At that point, we need to put aside the differences we have in the Democratic Party and vote for him. Again, is it the most ideal thing? Absolutely not. I'd take Bernie 11/10 times if I could. That said, our common enemy is Donald Trump and the Republicans. They must be defeated first and foremost.

I disagree with you. But vote for whoever you feel comfortable voting for, but I see my vote more useful for the Green Party than to reward the DNC for rigging another election. 

 

I just want to add that do you realize how many times this technique has been used? It wasn't the time in 2004. It wasn't the time in 2016. You're saying now is not the time now in 2020. How many times are you going to let the moderates of the party tell you that the biggest enemy is the republicans before you realize that the enemy number 1 is not the republicans, it's the moderates of our own party. We are never going to win if we always fold to the moderates. They know just as well as you do that they need your vote in order to win. By denying them your vote automatically, you now have leverage. It is beyond time for progressives to force the moderates to take losses to republicans until they realize that it's not "their way or the highway" anymore. You can sit here and tell me that Biden all of a sudden agrees with free college tuition, but let's see where he stands after he has won election. I have already put forth the number of various lies he told on Sunday regarding his record. If he is willing to lie about his record from the past, what makes you think he is being honest about what he wants to do in the future? Saying Orange Man Bad is not good enough. It is not good enough just to be "Not Trump."
