Katy Perry on Tuesday had a $2.8 million jury verdict thrown out that had found she ripped off elements of Christian rapper Flame’s 2008 track in her hit “Dark Horse.” The decision is a victory for songwriters worried about a growing risk of constant legal battles over their work.

“Dark Horse,” released in 2013 by Capitol Records, topped the U.S. music charts and was the second best-selling song worldwide in 2014.

Her comeback is upon us. First getting married, then getting pregnant, now winning trials...

I see having a huge comeback is the thing now...

Not to burst a bubble but as of recent examples, things have not been so kind after marriage and having kids for most female pop stars, unless you are anomaly. Esp with the industry moves on so fast than ever now since the advent of streaming. :bradley:

Fergie is the latest casualty.

Daylight Jokers

Good for her! Hopefully this trend of suing Katy Perry (mostly over the shallowest of things) becomes a thing of a the past now.
