Fish 6,259 Posted March 16, 2020 Share Posted March 16, 2020 lol most experts agree that closing borders at this point will have limited effects, if not none. some say that it can actually slow down a bit the spread and also deal with people's anxiety. in that sense it might be relatively desirable, but the actual effects of closing borders is faaaaar from proving efficient. we are closing our borders at the same time as european countries, which are far more deep into the crisis, so please have a seat before criticizing the governement. Also, this might give a false security feeling to people, but the responsibility is not just on the government but ON EVERYONE to self quarantine and to practice heavy social distancing.
