Red 97,976
Ugh they really missed the oportunity to hop on the nostalgia bandwagon and release a sequel on the 10th anniversary. Maybe on the 25th they'll do it If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

Well, yes, unless I'm mistaken the only time the worked together again afterTelephone is for John Wayne video, so I guess he's talking about that. “We worked on something else” means JW MV is NOT the telephone sequel, but maybe it was meant to be at an earlier stage I'm a real Fire CRRRACKERRR

Interscope was ok with this, but MTV did not want the song to be Burqa as they did not want politics at the ceremony. So they made Interscope force Gaga to chop and change the song, until Gaga ended up with Aura. But still the VMAs would not allow the *performance* that Gaga wanted (it was macabre, and had drones and blood and other weird sh*t) even though they were ok with the *song*. So Interscope decided with Applause instead, which rendered Gaga’s original performance idea obsolete. Gaga had to rush out an entirely new concept to match Applause, so she just did an homage to herself lmao I knew she had to change the performance but I thought the concept was always for Applause anyway Like a poem said by a neydy in red

CannaeDrive 3,412
Don't care for the continued stuff, this is way more interesting: "This is how it is to work with Gaga. I write in the treatment that she walks out on the jail courtyard smoking a cigarette, and then when she shows up, she has the glasses with cigarettes. That’s kind of the collaboration-type that you have with her, and it’s the same with the diner. I remember writing in the treatment that there’s, like, an American flag on the wall or something like that, and then she shows up in a full American flag outfit. It’s that kind of collaboration with her. She takes everything to the next level. I don’t even think she thinks it is the next level. I think it’s just the way she thinks, the way she sees the world, and that’s what I love about her." That's why she is an artist. Chromaticunt 5,529
Let's hope Gaga gives us everything we want this era, including part 3 of Paparazzi/Telephone. Imagine the slayage if it was the Ariana collab.

Burqa was dropped as the lead single idea since July 2013 when the song was leaked by Gaga. Aura was 100% the continuation for Telephone and controversy wasn’t a problem for gaga in 2013. The label just wanted Applause as the lead single.

And so the original VMA concept art we have was for Aura and not Applause? Also how does this link in with Telephone part 3? I thought all we knew was that part 3 was going to be for one of the 6 or so songs she'd already performed but I didn't think she said which. I actually thought it would be MANiCURE at the time because at that point there were no lyrics in the bridge so I thought it was Beyonce's part left out for the performance
