SL has been played 7 times today so far on Kiss 92.5 and the day still has another 4.5 hours left so another play is likely

This is huge because Kiss 92.5 is the second largest Pop/Top 40 Station in the Golden Horseshoe area which is 8M-9M people or almost 25% of Canada

Could this be a sign that Stupid Love will keep surging on radio? :woot:

Also I dunno if 7-8 spins is power rotation or Sub-Power Rotation. I know excluding lead single release days from big artists it's rare for a song to get more than 8 spins a day on the station but it does happen

Yaaaaaaaas

Makes sense that other countries would start to stan. Europe as far as I know isn't, but it's now #1 on UK Airplay with no signs of slowing down. Us and Canada will catch up and hopefully other places will copy

Stare at the Chartster in the mirror they talk to me too. #StreamFunTonight

I been checking

The day it was released they played it 16 times but since then it's averaged 2-5 times a day depending on the day

This is the first time excluding the release day that they played it this many times :)

UK radios and Australian radios are QUICK to jump on new songs. a few days after it's release SL was already #10 on Australian airplay. US and Canadian radios could learn a few things with old ass songs clogging the radio weaves like Ed Sheeran's I Don't Care and Jonas Brothers' Sucker for example.

U mean hits 93 Toronto? :air:

That's an irrelevant online station nobody knows outside GGD but I guess cuz they stan Gaga so hard it's been promoted here Multiple times :lmao:

As I said on OP it's the 2nd largest top 40 Radio Station in this entire area of Canada. It catches metro Toronto (6 Million people) plus a few more cities outside the metro area like Hamilton for example that are part of the Golden Horseshoe which is another 2-3 Million

So it's a very major thing

99.9 virgin radio I'd say is the biggest of all but unfortunately now owned by iHeartRadio it's hard AF to request songs and they are stubborn AF and slow to pick up new singles so it takes time (tho they have been giving SL a few spins but not a lot yet)

Kiss 92.5 is the one that jumps on new singles the fastest usually and as a result they end up having a big impact in determining which songs become Toronto hits

If Kiss 92.5 ignores a new single, it's harder for other major top 40 stations like 99.9 Virgin Radio or Z-103.5 to pick it up cuz they prefer to play songs once they are popular

There's no 100% guarantee that a new single getting high airplay on Kiss 92.5 will translate into high airplay into the other Toronto stations after but it does increase the odds considerably
