You do know that the physical copies of the album are not done yet, right? You do know that you need factories with people to make them? You do know you need stores, like Target to sell them, right? Not to mention there will be no tv performances, no appearances, interviews, interacting with fans, no GMA premiere etc. I feel like this is all obvious, but that just me. I just got that feeling reading what she said on her latest interview and I quote: "As for getting through it, Gaga told us that in a time of such uncertainty, the only thing we can do is show kindness at towards each other. " “I think kindness is something that we should all deploy right now. Kindness cures all things,” she said." Locking down of countries and their cities has just begun (even in small and poor places where monthly salary is equal to 300-400 us dollars) and for some, situation will get worse from now on, so we all know she's very down-to-earth person, and she knows that many people won't be working and getting their salaries, and they have to buy and provide for their families (especially unlucky ones that are heavily sick), and getting the album free for everybody will cheer them up a lil and still listen to it and stream it much more than worrying if they'll have enough money to buy it along all the other stuff that they need. it's something like donating money to every state to help the hospitals etc, but she gives every fan like a personal gift (like she actually gave money to every living person on the planet). Plus that would actually be a good promo I think, in this time of pandemic.
