You have to choose one! :vegas:

I choose the song without which Drunk In Love or any other pop/rap song wouldn't exist :ohwell:

ristretto

honestly, out of these, it's janet. that's the way love goes is one of the best r&b songs of all time. but to make it more fair for the poor pop girls that won't release a song as superior as TTWLG, gimme more is the best.

It has to be Gimme More for me. Then Perfect Illusion second, and Drunk in Love third. Great songs.

The way everyone yells at me for saying Gaga needed to do some in person promo for SL and yet Gimme More and the Blackout period were torn down because Britney didn’t want to promote the album (or wasn’t allowed to after she was put on her own self-quarantine permanently). Different times but all these songs reflect interesting periods for each artist - some tragic immediately, some the calm before the storm, some a commercial mess...

1. Mariah is such a legend; I hate that her work has been so attacked due to Mottola’s influences.

2. Aguilera has to be one of the worst managed careers in history compared to potential impact; debut album with three #1 songs and a #2, followed by a BNA Grammy and #1 Grammy winning collaboration.. followed up by the lyrically moving “Dirrty.” Oh Tina.

3. Glad the Britney brand earned some commercial successes later on, but Gimme More was her first top 3 since “Baby One More Time,” and “Piece of Me” should’ve been an easy top 10.

I vote Gimme More for everything it represented and that it smashed despite it; Whenever Wherever is a close second for the barriers it crossed to succeed. Will need to replay Janet and Mariah.
