Basically..

Dubsmash and Musical.ly did.

will TikTok suffer the same fate?

Or this will be the first one to go down as a staple along with IG, FB, and Twitter

Isn't Tik Tok just the new name for Musically? Regardless, I sure hope it does die down and soonĀ :billie:

Not until like 4Ā years minimum. Don’t hate the platform, hate the usersĀ

I don’t think so, TikTokĀ seems to have a bigger reach than both of them, it feels like a platform that is easily as huge or could be as hugeĀ as Instagram or Twitter with good staying power.Ā :firega:

I feel so old... but how does it even work?

Users have to upload videos of themselves?

Is it only meme-content?

Are the 'GP' really using that? Or is it mainly influencers or people who want to be influencers?

Why would average kids be uploading memes of themselves?Ā :hmm:

I find it boring. It was good for somedays but then it's just this loop of the same content. The challenges are fun till you see 2000 people doingĀ the sameĀ Ā

Same. I only use Instagram.Ā :sweat:Ā Those apps are a constant competition of who's better/does it better/is more popular etc.Ā

I feel like inspiration in general has died. We see the same old concept for movies/series/remakes...

Just look at it like Vine. It’s really just people posting funny short videos. Some are hilarious, some are cringe. Except that in Tik Tok you also have dances and challenges, and also cringe thirst-trapping. So it has its good parts and its cringe parts.

And well, like in Vine some users get really popular and become influencers but you still have a lot of users that just do it for fun and don’t end up becoming very popular.
