Sure it could have been carried out better but keeping people from Europe (where the virus is more widespread) from traveling to the US could help slow down the spread here. We need that so our hospitals don’t go over the brink. Americans who are in Europe can still return and will be screened. That part has been clear. I just don’t understand why y’all are so mad. No one seeing it because it's Trump doing it and that automatically means CONDEMN THE DECISION. it's already spreading in the US it may help, but if it's spreading in the big cities, your country may need to cancel national flights.... the virus is everywhere and the only thing that really helps is to have people work from home, cut mortgage costs so people can survive and get enough groceries. People from Europe can just fly to Heathrow and then to the States. There's literally not logic behind the ban. Trump didn't even talk to European leaders. He lied to the American people repeatedly in his address also regarding test kits. There's nothing effective, because it's flawed. Also, if you're going to ban travel from Europe, you might as well ban from every country.... The virus isn't only in Europe. Lastly, people coming back from travel aren't even being assisted. There's no leadership from the administration. We aren't stupid. This is bigger than Trump. How dare you limit our criticisms and concerns to hating Trump. The EU has the biggest regional outbreak of the virus right now. And yes people could fly out of EU and then fly to the states, but that's BESIDES the point. The decision would still deter travel from a heavily infected region, thus deterring the spread of the virus in NA. Why does the POTUS need to speak with other world leaders, to make a decision for HIS country? This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. This is a PANDEMIC and an emergency.
