Lunakween 555
Yesterday Wednesday our Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurz announced that universities and colleges will be closed from Monday, from Wednesday all other schools and kindergartens will be closed until April 12, 2020 due to Covid-19. The aim of this measure is to keep the outbreak as small as possible. Lower Schools will switch from teaching to childcare starting March 18. "If children can be looked after at home, then they should stay at home," says Education Minister Heinz Faßmann. Q: Is this happening in your country too? If yes, from where are you? OT: Sorry if I tagged the topic wrong

Guest Blue Madonna
I want New Zealand to do the same. We only have five cases so far but I think we should go into lockdown before it gets as bad as Italy or Iran. I don't understand why we would wait until it spreads heaps, I think we should lockdown for two weeks and then we'll be able to test and isolate anyone with the virus before it spreads throughout the country. Miracle 14,068
This situation is getting out of hand and due to the possibility of the lockdown of Spain in the following days I've had to reject a job I was gonna do for six months. My parents have preexisting health conditions + I need to go to Spain every month to take my meds, which makes it impossible for me to live here now. The rest of the world is shutting down too... Maybe its for the best tho.
LetsGetHigh 52,683
Been like this in Lebanon for two weeks now. It's honestly annoying cause I really can't get myself to study for "online classes and exams" since I'm always home.

Luc 4,776
Not happening yet. Honestly, we have to get an announcement today. I think tens of people are getting infected in schools and universitis here daily. Those infections go under the radar because young people often show no symptoms, but can still infect others. It's ridiculous how our universities are still open. So many people just came back from Northern Italy. 4% of all hospital workers who got tested over the weekend in the most-affected province (Noord-Brabant) have the virus. Our government is incapable, almost as bad as Trump's.
skedaddleBItCh 2,821
Yep! I'm from the Philippines, by the way. Though instead of a nationwide class suspension, the government only suspended classes to some regions, mostly on populated places like Metro Manila, and regions near it. 4th Quarter Examinations will go on, however, in a staggered basis. Some schools switched to online classes, while others that are mostly incapable to do so, gave their students numerous assignments and at-home activities. 🇵🇭༼;´༎ຶ ༎ຶ༽🇵🇭

I don't know if that's possible for you and ik that it may not be the best tip but try to stay away from school since many people get infected in schools here
