BUtterfield 8 41,533
HBO Max is rounding out the ensemble cast for Gossip Girl, its upcoming series reimagining of the pop culture phenomenon that made household names of stars such as Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford and Ed Westwick. Tavi Gevinson (Scream Queens) is set as a lead, along with Thomas Doherty (High Fidelity), Adam Chanler-Berat (Next to Normal) and Zion Moreno (Claws) join previously announced lead Emily Alyn Lind. This marks the second wave of castings for the Gossip Girl reboot. Last week, we reported Eli Brown (Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists), Johnathan Fernandez (Lethal Weapon) and Broadway vet Jason Gotay have all joined as series regulars. The 10-episode series hails from Joshua Safran, Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage’s Fake Empire, Alloy Entertainment, Warner Bros TV and CBS Television Studios. Like the original series, the new iteration of Gossip Girl, written by Safran, is based on the book by Cecily von Ziegesar. Eight years after the original website went dark, a new generation of New York private school teens are introduced to the social surveillance of Gossip Girl. The prestige series will address just how much social media — and the landscape of New York itself — has changed in the intervening years. https://deadline.com/2020/03/gossip-girl-tavi-gevinson-thomas-doherty-adam-chanler-berat-zion-moreno-reboot-hbo-max-1202879536/#comments

Teal Ambition 47,805
They should have left the series be the way it was. The bar is set so high I need Josh Schwartz to develop a whole new teen drama. He's behind iconic ones like GG and The OC. He's currently doing Dynasty which is really good too Enough with the reboots and give us a whole new concept ▌│█║▌║▌║ before I am Canadian, I am Chromatican ║▌║▌║█│▌
hankhatesyouall 2,731
It doesn't look as tragic as I thought, but they will still miserably fail to live up to the original.

Anderson123 38,757
At first I thought this was going to be a remake and thought it was pointless because not a lot has changed, they still gossip around in their smartphones and social media so I was like, are they gonna tweet? Instagram? Tik tok? But seeing that it’s a sequel and takes place in the present is going to be interesting, especially because I was 17 when I watched it and now I’m about to turn 30. I really hope they make it a little bit more like Euphoria and have risky storylines and more diverse characters, not just the typical pumpkin spice latte blonde girl trouble we saw and switching couples every 3 episodes. Then again, it is HBO and 10 episodes so most likely no filler storylines.
