I hope Bernie does drop out. It's useless at this point. There is no path forward.

Okay I’ve been relatively silent on this topic since the beginning because I believe democrats can’t afford to eat each other alive and expect to still beat Trump.

But after tonight, specially in Michigan, how can you Bernie supporters say the DNC is handing this to Biden? Bernie won Michigan in 2016 with +14 of the white vote. Tonight he got -6 with whites in Michigan. That’s a 20 point swing against him in his most stable demographic. He even lost to Biden among non-college-educated whites. How is the DNC fixing this for Biden when more people in Bernie’s demographics are voting Biden?

Not to mention the black vote...which is probably the most important part of the Democratic demographic outside of poor whites. Which are voting for Biden too.

The youth vote has gone down since 2016.

Bernie isn’t getting the vote he got 4 years ago. The people aren’t voting for him. Especially the people in the important demographics. How exactly is the DNC cheating for Biden?

It's a multitude of different factors:

1. The Youth Turnout - There's just no denying this. For some reason, the youth turnout has gotten worse, and at best, has stayed the same. I don't know why it's so low. If young people actually went out there and did as they preached on Twitter, we'd be having a very different race.

2. The Media Narrative - The media can be very impactful. In my opinion, this is the biggest reason for Biden's boost. The reason Biden turned around so well from Nevada to South Carolina/Super Tuesday was because of the media. They blew his win in SC way out of proportion. I mean, Bernie won by similar margins in Nevada, and what media coverage did he get? Nothing. The media does a lot to shape a person's political views, whether they think about it consciously or not. The reason why Biden's doing so well is because the media has told people that Biden's the most electable candidate, and so, they vote for him.

3. Establishment Democrats - Look, there's no denying that establishment democrats don't want Bernie to win. Bernie poses an existential threat to the establishment that many people fear. I don't think they're rigging votes or anything like that, but I do think they're putting as much money and resources behind Biden as much as possible. You've got sooo  many establishment/corporate dems supporting Joe, and that's not a coincidence. This, combined with the media narrative, makes people want to vote for Biden, and hey, while I disagree with it, I can't necessarily fault people for believing them.

4. Electability - This goes along with the media narrative. At this point, people just want to vote for the most "electable" candidate. I, for one, have completely disagreed with the notion that Biden's the most electable, but the majority of people don't see it that way. Biden, being a moderate, has people thinking that because he's not as "radical" as Bernie, he's more likely to get votes in the Senate and work with Republicans. Personally, I don't see it that way. The parties are so polarized at this point that it doesn't matter if we nominate Biden or Bernie, Republicans don't want to work with us. It's just that simple. That said, many people don't see it that way.

If Bernie drops out now at least there will be time to unify for those people who are thinking of not voting for Biden.

Yup, it's over.

The debates in the general are going to be a DISASTER omg.

Watch people be like, "Oh my gosh, Biden's terrible at debates!"

Like, y'all bitches didn't see this in the primaries?! He can't speak coherently at all! Trump will 100% annihilate him at the debates.

That would explain why he's flying home to Vermont.

If that's true, that breaks my heart...

Bernie's fought so hard, and he'll continue to fight, but it's so sad to see all this wasted potential.

1. That isn’t Biden’s fault though. That’s Bernie’s fault if anything

2. They made more of a deal out of SC than Nevada because SC gave far more delegates. I don’t believe this though. Bernie’s demographics don’t get their news from traditional media. They’re online all the time. How can what CNN did after SC hurt Bernie tonight in Michigan? I just can’t get behind that narrative. If anything, the media focusing on Biden would persuade Bernie’s voters to go out and help their guy to prove them wrong, right?

3. I’m not talking about Biden’s base. I’m talking about Bernie’s. How does establishment democrats favoring Biden make the DNC somehow against Bernie?

4. Are you saying Bernie’s electability Or lack thereof is making the DNC throw the race For Biden?

I am asking why Bernie supporters are blaming the DNC. Every Projection thread on Facebook has about 20 comments from Bernie supporters going on and on about how this was fixed in Biden’s favor.

I like Bernie and Biden. I want to see Either of them beat Trump. In 2016, at this point, Bernie was doing better but he fought Clinton tooth and nail all the way to the convention for nothing. And it looks like he’s going to do the same this year when he’s doing worse. Why won’t he or his supporters get behind the front runner so we can win this election? It doesn’t look good for Bernie going forward. Where can he make up the delegate deficit?

And Paula Abdul ain’t got [BLEEP] on me!
