I don't hate him, I just think he was very unprofessional and selfish and that's the reason he doesn't have a relationship with his former bandmates. The truth is he knows deep down that how he left was just plain shitty and its probably guilt that stops him from  at least try to be on amicable terms with some/all of the guys. He will expect them to do all the running and some of them have made overtures (Niall saying hi to him at the award show) but he owes them an apology and he's obviously not matured enough for that. Maybe in time he will be man enough to do it. 

And being "relevant" is part of their job ffs!! How are you gonna slate them for actually being pop stars? And yeah, he is set for life and the only thing keeping him relevant at the moment is being on/off with Gigi. I feel sorry for his fans who get very little from him.

I said what for. Dumping them in the middle of Asia all because as usual he couldn't keep it in his pants and fans found out about his cheating. He had a couple of shows to go before they had an extended break of 2 or 3 months where he could have told them he wanted to leave and they would have had time to get fans used to the idea before the next leg. 

You just don't do what he did when you're in a band without very good reason. And his reasons were all self serving. You can be a fan and admit he ended things badly.

i feel like so many ppl misunderstand him (even his bandmates). He has extreme social anxiety. It is to the point that he literally let all his hype fizzle out even though he was the one with the most potential to become a icon (even more than Harry at that time). He oculdnt even promote his singles in interviews and only did the bare minimum live performances because of his stage fright. It's sort of sad and many take it the wrong way as him being arrogant.
