The problem is most people who listen to Gaga aren't a part of the streaming generation. I only started to use streaming this past month. :messga:

Same honestly. I made a deal with myself to finally stop pirating when Gaga releases again. So here I am with my Spotify Premium giving mom those streams:vegas:

I honestly think that Gaga is streaming poison because of her IMAGE, not her sound. She has released a lot of well written radio/stream friendly songs in the last 7 years. BUT nowadays teenagers are mostly described as "visuals" meaning most of things they perceive as "cool" and "succesful" are based mainly on what they find visually and aesthetically pleasing, they put that over the music itself. Gaga did it too in the beggining of her career, playing this mysterious character that looked weird but had an amazing personality and talent, people were hooked mainly for her looks rather than the music itself. Nowadays "weird" acts rarely go really mainstream,  the last I can think of is Billie who also played the mysterious character and it worked wonders. Artists like Ariana, Beyoncé and Rihanna rely 50/50 on their talents AND looks, they play this sexy/flawless character while also delivering good music. If they were "ugly" or having an ugly Insta feed, they wouldn't be as succesful as they are today. I guarantee y'all that if Gaga started being way more active on social media, while looking young and always on trend, while also and obviously having a bit more modern, streaming friendly music, she would be way more succesful on streaming platoforms in general.
