Why can’t we criticise Stupid Love?

Though Bad Romance and Telephone or both much more imaginative songs and they are pop classics. No one is going to remember Stupid Love after ten years.

This is exactly my point.

I mean stupid love is a cute song and i really respect the fans who liked it but personally I don't think it's that song that has enough stamina to stand the test of time and become a classic masterpiece like badromance/pokerface/TEOG ..

Anyone can criticize the song, but the OP is ALWAYS negative towards Gaga, like what's your issue? Someone in here posted your track record and its beyond negative. Creating a thread titled "LG6 will flop", why don't you keep that negativity to yourself? What's the intention behind that? To get attention?

There's a difference between criticizing politely and then being straight up negative about things Gaga does. If you're so unhappy with every single thing she does, why bother visiting the Gaga sections of the forums?

Personally I think Gaga need to  be more open to collaborations with songwriters not just producers....

The song is cute but it's will not be remembered. Periodttt.  I also think ng Gaga is trying too hard to push boundaries and be unique. Just a bit too hard.

Some of you here think we hate it and we are negative and etc. It's an honest analysis. We love and adore Gaga. We not gonna hoobaloo on a song and pretend it's that  great. When it's actually not. Also Gaga doesn't need yall to give yourselves a stroke defending a song from others opinions.

Chill out

We don't hate it.

Obviously Bad Romance and Telephone are such quiet little songs with minimal production.

Good point. The difference with these latter  two songs is that they  are better written and produced.

Floppy

I wonder how "iconic" "classic" and "memorable" any Gaga song actually is if you were to ask random people in the GP. :flower::enigma:

It’s not climbing to number 1. The song is bombing on streaming sites and it’s sales have slowed down. The song is too in your face and loud and noisy. She needs to move onto the next single ASAP.

I didn't ask.

Gaga wrote the song, she recorded the song, and the MV was made according to her wishes.  The song and MV are what she wanted.   I'm happy for her.  I follow Gaga because she is an extraordinarily good person.  I don't care if any person or group of people don't like SL.  Gaga expressed what she wanted, and many people like it.  I'm sure she's happy, and that makes me happy.

Omg me too. I love Gaga for her strength, visions, creativity, esp, her kind heart. I would be over the moon if SL is successful, but if it's not, it's ok. As long as she is happy, she is my great source of motivation.

The audacity for you to compare those pop perfections to Stupid Love. Like Perfect Illusion the song is not listenable. You may like it but that doesn’t mean the GP does. The hot 100 predicts SL to drop to #26 from number 5. It’s tragic.

1. The drop in the charts is momentary and right after the album release, it will rise again and be more recognized by the GP. Radio is playing the song over and over.

2. Since when is Perfect Illusion not listenable?  Is it the best song on Joanne and do you still say that?  After everything you said, you're a chartfan and have a terrible taste.

3. How haven't you be banned yet?

Ugh this attitude suuuuuuuucks.

she is working so hard to please us and do things that we have wanted from her and you make an entire thread dissing the song - and making a point on it’s CHART POSITION. How many times does she have to remind you that she doesn’t make music for the charts, yes her team want her to get a #1, but she is making this music for us. You may not like it very much, but you’re judging an era based on the one taste you’ve had of it. We all know Gaga is aware of Gagadaily, and maybe she checks it sometimes after releases. Think about how you might feel if you’ve been working for years on something to please your fans, and they are online bashing your hard work like spoiled brats?

Stupid love is her weakest single to date and the song sounds like it came from the 80's an era of musical influences that Gaga revisits every album cycle. The song is catchy but the lyrics are really basic and  simplistic nothing worth writing about wish she was more poetic and stimulating  The vocals and the production are overproduced. The  Stupid love was Interscope and Gaga's latest attempt to get a smash hit song more than in a decade of her career as an established pop act. The song is falling down the charts. I think Gaga  should have taken the ASIB route or Joanne and released a power ballad reminiscent to her work on ASIB to test the waters in regards to what kind of music she needs to release for the public to consume. Dance pop is not in anymore. She should save the dance pop tracks for the albums and go forth with power ballads or more standard form of music .

Sinds you seem to know exactly what is best for gaga's career  Maybe you should replace bobby as her manager also did it ever cross your mind that maybe this is what gaga wants
