The video also disappointed a lot of people. From being a visual powerhouse artist to a poorly made video in the desert with an alien theme which has been done dozens of time before. The editing, choreography, face accessory are all executed poorly for the video. This is the same woman who made the Bad Romance video. KPop music videos in general take a dump over all of Gaga’s video between Joanne and Stupid Love. 

Snippets of the song have also been online since last year and nothing was done about it. Her team are amateurs. You know why ASIB and TFM smashed so hard? She had a professional team behind those eras who helped her execute everything to a professional level and didn’t feed her ego. I just don’t know what else to say except she needs to move onto the 2nd single. 

I dunno  why specifically,, but Cher didn't sell her music as well when she made it to main stream acting … 

A lot of people see her as an actress who sings now .. rather than the other way around...

Stupid Love isn't my favourite song of hers. I'm going to be honest - it's fun, but so generic/safe. Sure not everything needs to be laced with a theme/concept, but I prefer it for a lead single of hers.

I think it's been received well, though. It debuted Top 10 in Australia, Top 5 in US/UK. It probably won't chart higher - who cares? Chromatica is a month away. We'll have a second single soon - before then, I'm assuming. 

I think the video is a missed opportunity though it doesn't matter to most. Sure it's fun, but it's a mess. The camera work is terrible and doesn't do the choreography any justice. The fluro colours make her look like another one of the dancers. In the masked outfit, you can see the screens reflections and that bugs me. The whole 'tribe' narrative is completely lost. The scene where she makes the two random guys fighting hover and drop has zero impact on the video. Hoping for some better videos going forward.

I don’t think you are a hater or a ‘fraudulent’ Gaga fan (WTF?). I think some people around here are oversensitive when it comes to Gaga and can’t be objective when it comes to her work. I totally get what you are saying. We came to expect a really high standard from Gaga in terms of quality of music and videos. We expect her to be transgressive, a visionary and for her to define the pop landscape and to be at the forefront of pop music. We expect her to be the Supreme in the realm of pop, rather than another pop legacy artist. However, with Stupid Love she has delivered a generic song and a cheap looking video. As a fan, I kinda forced myself to like the song and video and I now enjoy it for what it is. Is it revolutionary? Not really! Will it define pop culture? Not really! Will it cement her legacy like Shallow recently did? Not really! I kind of see it as a filler in her career before she hits another peak, whether through another Chromatica single or even another album. Anyway, I really look forward to the album! Best thing to do so that we are not disappointed is to expect an album full of generic pop songs and maybe a couple of killer hits.

The song is actually doing good for it being leaked a month before it's release, let's keep that in mind! Not to mention it is now a top 5 HIT with no live performance yet and lack of promo.

I love the song and the video, so you don't speak for me.

On the first day, I said, it's cheap. Everyone attacked me, cause this song is a bop, the GP likes it, except her fans. Who cares the GP, if the mv is amateur and boring.  and this love theme.. She's the next Dalai Láma. She used to make exciting songs, with unique (repetitive) but catchy lyrics, with metaphors. 

Yes, move on, it's 2020, time for bad mvs? Even MR was better. 

The song is...  It's a remake of DWUW instrumental from 2013, Born This way vocals from 2011, and a noname basic pop song. 

But we know, if she release a good one, she could be #1. Because this reached #5. 

Hope the album contains at least 4-5 good tracks and everyone can forget this mess.

Calling her song, her video, her team trash is not being objective.

Calling what she is doing is cheap is not being objective. 

Not liking the song and video is definitely welcome, and we have evidenced it ever since the song leaked.

But some of you have seriously no idea between objective criticism or straight up being vile and mean. 

Interestingly, if you can dish it out, learn to take it back as well. If you are being nasty and hateful, don't cry foul when it comes to bite you back as well.
