Mills 446
If we end up with another album aka Milk Machine I'm pretty sure that this might not happen If she does able to avoid that post album single syndrome, then I'd be fully impressed with her label's overall strategy. Even Mariah Carey during her peak in the 1990's did not able to escape it when her 15th/16th single, Anytime You Need A Friend (1994), in the US failed to enter the top 10 of the HOT 100 chart, making it her first single to do so after a streak of top five hits in 1990-1994. And that's exactly where Katy Perry is, she's in a streak of top five hits since 2010. It would be safe to say that the lead single up to the third single of the new album would easily extend Katy's top five streak, with a high plausibility of it being three consecutive HOT 100 #1s for her with radio's outpouring support for her as well as her incredible digital sales drawing power. But after that, could she and/or her label sustain such kind of chart domination? If she does, her legend would only continue to grow. If not, it's completely understandable since I've not known any artist, past or present, who could pull such a streak of success in a very long period of time. Mills 446
TS's combined sales are truly impressive. Macklemore & Lewis could easily get a 7 million seller by the end of 2013 with that kind of momentum.

Mills 446
Don't you forget that she is the queen of 0.69 Discount She is, along with the rapper-assisted remixes. But I think once the majority of the public gets tired and just exhausted, just like in any other product, regardless of such sales promotion or tactics, it's not impossible (and somewhat inevitable) for her streak to end at some point in time.
