I can feel something inside me said I really don't think we are strong enough to wait for the lead single to chart :S

oh and Beyonce is premiering her lead single at the Superbowl... which means that it won't be released earlier right ? She should release it 2-3 days earlier :X

The song got cheated so bad. It's such a quality song that deserved such a long chart reign. Too bad the radio and music listeners ignored it.

I agree! :(

Pop Art

I believe that she only did it three times. E.T., Last Friday Night, and The One That Got away. Her first three singles were strong enough to smash without the help of the remix, and Part of Me and Wide Awake didn't need to go number one because the record was already done with.

I somewhat think E.T. would have made it to the top without the remix, but Last Friday Night and The One That Got Away definitely wouldn't have charted as high, and they're sales numbers wouldn't have been inflated either.

I agree with E.T., but on the contrary, the remixes for LFN and TOTGA did not really boost her sales as much as expected. I think that the respective remixes of the said Teenage Dream singles did not even top the iTunes charts. If anything, I do believe that the remix for LFN assisted, in a way but not greatly, to the reason why Katy Perry tied with Michael Jackson's HOT 100 record of five number one singles from one album.

Both the digital sales for LFN and TOTGA, if I remember correctly, were already strong prior to the release of their remixes. And radio's always at her side at that time anyway. I honestly find it just an excuse to discredit the incredible success TD, as an era, has achieved. However, the 69-cents sales promotion did cause a great controversy with regard to how she was able to tie the record. It seemed desperate to say the least.

CANNOGABANG

She Wolf is Titanium, but this time around she's an animal instead of a metal.

:lmao:. Yeah, the Titanium vibe is strong in She Wolf but the breakdown and her voice buildup is still admirable :flutter:

So interesting. I don't think I've ever heard IKYWT in a public setting... oh wait, I did twice and someone changed it on both occasions. :lmao:

The fact that this forgettable song has more strength than Sweet Nothing is ridiculous.

As much as I'm a fan of IKYWT and Taylor Swift, I completely agree with this statement. Sweet Nothing deserves more success in the charts...

Sweet Nothing is amazing, hope it peaks inside the top 10

She Wolf needs so much more attention. Good that it was a huge hit here in Germany :nacho:

I hope this time Gaga doesn't have problems with the 2nd single. For some reason every pop b---h had problems with the 2nd single in charts, lol.
