US Charts Discussion (Gaga single tracking: August)

Well, I guess Ke$ha will now change her style on her next album after this C'mon and her album flopping. This only proves that the GP is not here anymore for the same type of music. I'm thankful that Gaga is always evolving in every of her albums.

this should be his next single or his third. So catchy. Another top 10 hit for Bruno I guess. He might break Gaga and Mariah top 10 streak,

He broke his Top 10 streak a while back with Marry You. It was a single in the US, I believe and it performed very badly despite being a good song with a lot of radio appeal.

I don't believe that Marry You was ever an official single here in the US

OH wait you're right!! Never mind then. Bruno still has a chance at getting the record. :)

:) if I would want anyone to break it, it would have to be Bruno. I love him

So Ke$ha will have her 1st flop single with C'mon?.

I don't know if it's done peaking (although many here seem to think that). But yeah. Probably... :(

I wish it was an official single, but it wasn't. Although many people know and play that song like it was his official single.

Glad you also like Bruno. I always thought he could be the next MJ (though it's barely possible  ) .

Yeah he really deserves to break or at least reach Gaga an Mariah top 10 streak.

It's probably peaking coz the video was already out and Kesha already performed it live but now it got negative update.

It might gain positive updates on another days though.

but he could have a title that can distinguish him other than king of pop. Imo he deserves more recognition than Bieber.

Beauty and a Beat isn't even done yet and his label is already abandoning it for All Around the World?

(Well, not abandoning per se. The two songs are both impacting concurrently. But still.)

I'd rather have them wait for more weeks, or at least a month, before fully pushing for the fourth single since BAAB has not even yet reached its maximum potential. Though it's starting to fall within the top ten of the HOT 100, I guess a televised performance could easily rebound the song back to the top five or at least secured a more prolonged stint in the top 10.

In terms of chart performances of his singles, Bruno Mars is way ahead of Justin Bieber for the most part. On the other hand, Bieber is relatively way ahead of Bruno Mars in terms of album sales in the US, well given the amount of his music releases in general. Both have their own strengths and weaknesses. And both basically came into prominence almost at the same time, as both of their debut studio albums were released in 2010. But with all that said, they're without question the top two biggest solo male pop acts today.

Bruno >>>> JB in all way.

Bruno should have no problem for another few top10s with Young Girls, Treasure, Natalie or Moonshine ...

Treasure or Natalie could be great as a third single for Bruno Mars' sophomore studio album. In the meantime, here's hoping for When I Was Your Man to achieve the same success, or even half, of LOOH in the charts.

"Judas" was a bigger flop than "Marry the Night" despite its chart position, and "MTN" was actually a moderate hit.

Delusion.

1. Judas was a hit in many countries except the US, even though it did break the top 10 there.

2. Judas is close to platinum

3. Judas was more played on the radio

4. Judas had impact

5. Judas has her third most viewed music video with 160M views. Her biggest youtube hit from Born This Way.

Day 9: JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE - Suit & Tie: 73.870 (-27.324) :toofloppy: keep those updates coming

3. TAYLOR SWIFT – I Knew You Were Trouble: 159.278 (+ 5.744)

:lmao:

KE$HA – C’mon: 53.319 (+ 1.338)

1. BRUNO MARS – Locked Out Of Heaven: 207.080 (+ 1.150) :fail:

If I was investing I'd buy shares in Bieber, as a rabid fanbase trumps radio hits (in the digital era anyway).

Even though Bruno had Rihanna Loud-era-like album success in UK last era.

As I predicted, Timberlake takes a huge hit on radio from the rolling effect:

Pop -14.8

Rhy -3.6

Urban -3.5

HAC -3.5

= -25.4
