Phlop 4,773
that's why Rihanna's trying to connect harder to her fans right now Except her fanbase didnt want her getting back with CB, and all through last era she went on twitter bashing her own fans. Pop Art 1,773
After doing some (very limited) research, I think one thing that GaGa should focus on with the coming era is adding her songs to a wider variety of radio stations, even if that means only adding one or two genres. For example, I think YoĂĆÂź And I would have done at least somewhat better if added to HAC, AC, or possibly even Country. However, from what I've found, Interscope only added it to Mainstream/Top 40 stations. Just think, if they had added it to just these few more stations, it could have possibly gone Top 10 on the overall Radio Songs chart, rather than stop at #12, which could mean a world of difference with today's new chart rules. (I know YoĂĆÂź And I was a single before these went into effect, I'm just tying all this in with the hopeful success of her future singles.) The same goes for Judas (only added to Mainstream/Top 40), The Edge Of Glory (only added to Mainstream/Top 40), and Marry The Night (only added to Mainstream/Top 40 and Rythmic Contemporary). Now obviously, it would be pointless to add her to, say, Urban stations, but HAC and I'd say even AC are two networks she occasionally leaves out, something she really shouldn't risk this era. So what if a song charts lower than expected in a certain radio chart? The important part is that it has a cumulative effect, which, in the end, would expand her overall AI. How do you think Rihanna keeps getting all those radio #1's? It's not all from Pop, I'll give you that much.

It really makes me wonder. I mean pound the alarm flopped on US radio but it got played and still gets played daily on latin stations. But I've never heard Gaga there.... I wish I knew what the magic was. It isn't a huge demo but still this must come into play on all radio stations.
