Americano 31,061
I live in Florida. I should hack the awards show and make Britney and Gaga win everything. It's based on fan votes AND their interpretation of sales/star power... AKA it'll be rigged to whoever attends lol
Tommymonster44 0
To an extent, it is. Especially pop radio which is currently much bigger than it's ever been. My mom is actually under the impression that Gaga isn't popular any more because she doesn't have any songs on the radio. But I agree, you can't use it as the only way to gauge popularity. Katy and Rihanna are typically more consistent than Gaga with garnering airplay hits, but it's clear who the biggest star is. I disagree. While the radio may be the largest it's ever been, I would argue that it doesn't translate to impact like it used to. The purpose of the radio has changed. It's not a major music source anymore, but rather background music for driving to and fro work and school. That's why songs like Gangnam style can smash with zero radio support. Just because someone is doing well on the radio doesn't necessarily translate to popularity anymore. For instance, most people I know think that Rihanna's music has been a joke lately. However, they still listen to her music on the radio and still buy a few of her singles to workout to. So my main point is that overall size doesn't translate to important. drinkmytears 2,332
Because six of her songs have reached the top ten on the adult contemporary charts, including one #1 hit, while Gaga only made it to the top ten with "The Edge of Glory". Likewise, Katy has had seven #1 hits on the adult top 40 charts, while the highest Gaga has peaked is #2 with "The Edge of Glory". I feel that is irrelevant. Only the Top 100 really counts. Adult Contemporary is more likely to play Wide Awake than Pokerface.

Americano 31,061
If Gaga is skipping BRITs/GRAMMYs, she should announce a single on Xmas and then premiere it during the New years day parade. Chances are close to 0%, but itd be cool

Marjorine 0
I honestly can't see a single happening until March or so and there aren't any good promo spots around then
MANiCURE1295 8,673
I honestly can't see a single happening until March or so and there aren't any good promo spots around then Lady Gaga's LEAD SINGLE doesn't need very much promo at all. And she's going to in the US for a long time starting in January. She can do radio interviews and talk show performances and stuff. She'd find a way. Marjorine 0
Lady Gaga's LEAD SINGLE doesn't need very much promo at all. True I just don't want another "open huge, drop like a rock" first single :crossed:
Gerrard174 695
Lead single from ARTPOP won't need any promo because of the hype and radio deals. It will go #1 (most likely), and if not top 3 easily. The problem starts from single releases after album dropped.
ozzynetto 23
Christina has had beef with Britney, Beyonce, Mariah, P!nk, Gaga, and Kelly Osbourne. She's always been a b---h and acted head-and-shoulders above everyone else. Her Blender '03 interview was legendary in the stan community when she called Britney and Beyonce fake, superficial artists (as well as everyone who performed at the VMAs that year except Madonna and Mary J. Blige). I never could find myself to appreciate her simply because I know what kind of person she is. Which interview is that? In Brazil it was bad!!! She was a b---h on Mtv, she gives the vj dirrty looks all the tima.... sad...
