Blake revealed that he and the ‘X Factor USA’ judge had begun working on cuts for the release, explaining:

“I think her fans will be surprised by it. I would say its definitely the ‘unexpected’ Britney in so many ways, in that she’s playing with new textures and stomping on new grounds and genresâ€.

The mastermind behind Usher‘s Hot 100 winner ‘Climax’ and Rihanna’s reggae flavored ‘No Love Allowed’, the singer’s comments on the album came days before the release of his Roc Nation backed EP, ‘Bijoux 22′, and weeks after he reportedly joined the star and ‘Telephone‘ producer Darkchild for LA studio sessions.

Seems like Ms. Spears is cooking up some new material for 2013. Now that's what I'm talking about! :excited2:

Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Beyonce, Katy Perry, and possibly Rihanna with new material next year! :nick:

Neither Judas or MTN had any airplay worth mentioning. Judas at least had the cultural impact and everyone knows that song... MTN, not so much

Yeah Marry The Night was on the verge of people knowing it but it couldn't break into the top on itunes. So close haha

Airplay is airplay. It reached #14 on Pop and I know many people who recognize the song and it's even been performed on The Voice by one of the contestants. I still count it.

MTN did disastrously on radio and barely got played on most stations, no way around it.

Because this is the US thread, worth posting, rumors that Lady Gaga is already making her way back to the States as we speak.

Sounds a bit like Blackout 2.0 from his description. Loving it! :nacho:

Thank God. Hope it's true.

I distinguish between album buying fans and casuals.

Album buyers will buy another is they liked the last one, if the next one has promising promo, and you keep them entertained in between via social media and unofficial releases and teasers. Radio is becoming increasingly irrelevant

Casual will buy songs they find catchy. They aren't deeply invested, and aren't getting impatient.

Taylor did not do two years, she had movie tracks and other random songs on the radio at the same time. You keep using that example and it's not even right.

Eminem isn't in the pop scene, the rap scene is completely different with loyalty.

Katy still released music to the public in 2012.

She also starred in a few movies

Better be better than Scream and Shout....

I wouldn't mind it if it sounded like Scream & Shout. I love the song and it's Britney's biggest hit in many countries in YEARS, including the UK and Germany, where she performed very poorly during her last era. It could actually end up selling more than TTWE worldwide, which I wouldn't be against. People come for her and her relevancy and calling her a has-been but she proves them all wrong. :nacho:

Just looked at Mark (dancer's) twitter, he tweeted he'd be back in the US tomorrow.

So yeah, she's either already on her way or will be soon if they plan to be back by then

It'll be interesting to see how she tries to formulate a response when an interviewer brings up ARTPOP debuting with half of the first week sales as BTW, regardless of how long the break is.

I can imagine it: "Well I think that's unfair to say because 440000 of Born This Way's sales came from a 99c Amazon sale" :troll:
