Klou 2,414
so disappointed at Warrior. it makes Animal sound like a masterpiece. only 4 or 5 songs really worth buying. 2012 has not been good for pop music in general. nothing memorable. Definitely agree. I felt like 2011 had a lot of good music, but all the crappy music charted well. For 2012 crappy music has been charting and not much good music has been released. Just happy Ellie released a good album or this year would have been so depressing for me.

Bad 32
Hits: If we're reading the tea leaves correctly, Alicia Keys' new RCA set, Girl on Fire, should land at #1 next week, shifting somewhere between 150k and 175k units. Huge drop for Alicia compared to her previous albums. Her last 3 all sold over 400k first week, and her debut sold over 400k in its second week. :ohno:
hausofmike 127
Well with her past 3 albums she's had at least 1 big hit.
Bad 32
Well with her past 3 albums she's had at least 1 big hit. Not with Element of Freedom. The lead single peaked at #27 but she still managed to open with 400k+ (though debuted at #2 because that was the year Susan Boyle slayed everyone). R&B sales have been **** this year :smh:
Ozzy8923 9
WOW @ S&S! Damn it, Britney Jean how dare I doubt your power. I thought it would of done badly. I expect Top 10 IF sales are strong enough to get it into the Top 10 but if not then Top 20 seems more reasonable since (judging from the songs radio update today) it isn't gaining as much on radio as I had anticipated. Regardless, it's another well-performing single for Britney and first for will.i.am so I'm a happy stan. This is actually Britney's first collaboration aside from S&M where she had an active role in the song's performance. It's very debatable that S&M might of gone #1 without Britney. It made it to #2 without her.
Jase 13,315
Will/Britney bright green on kworb, but 50 Cent also remains bright green :pukey:
Ozzy8923 9
Will/Britney bright green on kworb, but 50 Cent also remains bright green :pukey: That song is crap. I mean S&S is no masterpiece, but at least I can bop to that. :pukey:
Mills 446
I think it's dumb S&M would even be counted. If it weren't for the non-remix, the song wouldn't have gotten to #1. I partly agree with you with regards to S&M, but still Billboard officially gave Britney a credit for that tho, regardless if it's fair or not. :coffee:
Deacon 5
I'd rather "My Life" and "Scream and Shout" both drop off the face of the earth immediately. But because I've been a Britney fan since '98, I have to side with my girl on this one. :ohwell:
Ozzy8923 9
I'd rather "My Life" and "Scream and Shout" both drop off the face of the earth immediately. But because I've been a Britney fan since '98, I have to side with my girl on this one. I root for S&S because I genuinely believe it can give her, her first massive WW since Womanizer. None of Britney's songs ever had a killer dance breakdown (or a dance breakdown to begin with) and dance breakdowns aid songs a lot when it comes to performing well in European markets so I hope to see some nice global chart positions (I know it's doing great in France) and Germany has ignored Britney all of last era. leoj 2
Britney spears is always front loaded.. it'll drop significantly soon, it happens with most of her records..
Ozzy8923 9
Britney spears is always front loaded.. it'll drop significantly soon, it happens with most of her records.. But this one is not really fan driven. It went from the lower 40's and slowly climbed throughout all of last week. Had fans bought it like they do with all her lead singles it would of been #1 by the first day of release. This is one of the main advantages non-fan driven sales have. I personally enjoy seeing a song climb the chart on its own without a massive first week debut and I think, in the long run, it helps the song. ie. I Wanna Go and You and I. Loved seeing those songs climb on their own without fans buying it every minute. Reassured me that the GP still is here for them.

This song has been rising slowly...Britney still gaining on #1, dark green. The video is perfectly timed.
