Babel 41,345
See the Papparrazi one was innovative. Alejandro and Judas was not....and Burqa, I don't know how that will turn out... She should stay away from religion tbh. Alejandro did its job, it's her 2nd most watched video and a was a worldwide hit. Judas on the other hand... Americano 31,061
70s rock was full of heavy metaphors ... are you saying your generation is too freaking DUMB and SHALLOW to handle anything but drinking and partying lyrics? Nope, but 70s rock isnt necessarily tearing up the pop scene right now.
Ozzy8923 9
Jeff said she would have artwork with a burqa and she tweeted that she was listening to it to Zedd I think it was. Yay! I didn't know she would be using Burqas for the artwork. That should be cool! Burqa swag like Lady Gaga... OT question: Would you guys mind Cake on ARTPOP? I would be fine with it on the album. I BOP.
Arturo 40,746
It's called the 1-2 punch. Releasing 2 #1 singles before the record itself. Rihanna and Katy come to mind. Britney was close if Circus hadn't peaked at 3. One can dream :(

Alejandro was destined to be a hit because the song itself was safe, even if the video wasn't.
Redstreak 6,653
inb4 "Lady Gaga's second single, 'BURNING BIBLES' hits iTunes on SUNDAY at 3:00AM. If Burqa is a single, that'll wind up being the big Judas controversy moment of the ARTPOP era. I can only imagine what religion she'll go for next. :toofunny: Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~

craig 680
Nope, but 70s rock isnt necessarily tearing up the pop scene right now. I think there is a place for someone with half decent lyrics ... and people who just want to dance or rock out can ignore them.
Nagini 1,828
It was about her screwing around to get to the top. I knew it. Traded her soul for a wish. and sucked Akon's dick :troll:
Americano 31,061
when did he say this? He responded to an article about her wearing a burqa in the UK saying its a hint at the art. It never got threaded on GGD.

Babel 41,345
70s rock was full of heavy metaphors ... are you saying your generation is too freaking DUMB and SHALLOW to handle anything but drinking and partying lyrics? Don't get me wrong, I love marry the night, and I think it was the BEST single era from BTW. But yes, the real meaning of the song got lost in so many metaphors, specially to be relatable for the GP. I still don't understand what she means with "skeleton guns are wedding bells in the attic" but I get the whole subject she's talking about, and I dance to it anyways. Ozzy8923 9
I think that if she does religious controversy with a commercial song all should be fine.
