I've also said that if Rihanna increases her first week sales, it will be entirely due to discounts and marketing tactics.

But there are no others reasons for her sales to improve.

Ke$ha can do it and get away with it. Look at the views. Barely 12 million. 12 million people (or less considering I'm sure some re-watched the video) seeing your Illuminati imagery is hardly any damage so I doubt it hurt her sales or image drastically.

Gaga on the other hand can rack up those views fairly well (Judas is around 150 million) and, therefore, experiences a greater amount of backlash.
