US Charts Discussion (Gaga single tracking: August)

He's just barely on his 3rd single. I think 950K off only two singles us pretty darn good.

That's true. I don't mean his sales are bad but they have slipped considerably from My World 2.0. I don't think Believe will come anywhere near the 3 mil that My World 2.0 sold.

One Direction's first album sold 1.3 mil with 3 singles (and only What Makes You Beautiful was a hit). To me it seems like Bieber lost a lot of his core fanbase but gained more casual fans, hence the better single performance but lower album sales.

I'm not sure if it really can flop, as it's pretty obvious it's a track with no chance to chart. I mean, the expectations can't possibly be very high..

*points = 100% x sales/K + 108% x Mediabase airplay (A.I. millions) + 7.5% x on demand streaming/K

Sales for Diamonds include -45K for 'Complete My Album' (20% of 225K album sale)

Gangnam Style's sales increased (2 itunes versions)

EDIT: Apparently Perri's ATY Parts 1 and 2 are not combined so taken off the list (#16 if combined).

Approx week's sales for Gaga: PF 4.3, BR 3.6K; TEOG 3.6K; JD 3.5K, BTW 3.3K, Y+I 3.3K

Here for a double #1 for Rihanna next week!

I'm betting on Lost In Paradise (my personal favourite) and Right Now (catchy and dancey).

I can see Right now.

Lost In Paradise is my favorite and it was produced by frequent Rihanna collaborators, Stargate (they're two men).

Some of their work includes Don't Stop the Music, Rude Boy, and all 3 #1's from LOUD.

Right Now is awful :eww:

Indeed, but radio will eat that up ... David Guetta and Rihanna? Radio's dream come true tbh :nails:

Yeah, and it sounds kinda fresh because of the flutes and some other sounds/innstruments I don't know how to name lol

Right Now is one of my faves. I hope it smashes. But, I don't really like the fact that Ri has the same amount of #1's as Madonna. I mean, Madonna is the queen....

I know Mariah has more than Madge but still.

Then why did Who's That Chick flop? :nails: Funny enough, most of Mr. Guetta's collaboration singles do quite well and the one he does with Rihanna doesn't even make it into the Top 50. :lmao:
