saltface 178
What are you all picking on Bryan for?? EVERYONE thought Marry the Night was going to smash, including me. I actually remember Bryan calling a flop on MTN before the video dropped because it was at about #800 on iTunes and refused to rise. And regarding his predictions: at least they are realistic. All the "ARTPOP WILL SLAY" "LEAD WILL TOP HOT 100 FOR 12 WEEKS" is what leads to all the ridiculous meltdowns that occur.

At least i'm not at the beginning until he convinced me to believe him but that's not his fault. who would have thought that it will flop when it was doing great on airplay. We learned our lesson. and i guess no one here will say something like topping Hot 100 for 12 weeks cause we all know it isn't happening.

I truly believe people get sick of contradictions and hypocrites. As far as predictions go, no one knows how well GaGa will do in 2013 on the charts (following her lead single). It's safe to say her lead will be a top 5 hit (radio deals, promotion, and anticipation will lift her), but as far as longevity throughout the rest year, no one can predict that. There will be a lot of competition and other pop acts (Katy, Bey, Ri, Ke$ha, and more) out at the time GaGa is slated to make a "comeback". But in the meantime, anyone who is saying GaGa is losing steam and relevance is delusional. The perfume and tour sales alone should be enough to prove relevance. Americano 31,061
I really hope Beyonce, Britney, and Gaga all release early-mid 2013. Itd be like 2011 all over again with good music.
Mariano 958
Lady Gaga's lead single will be a smash of course. Born this way is a smash WW and a big hit in USA (3 750 000 sales are a good number) and BTW is the most ungeneric song to be number 1 on Hot 100 for 2011.. while she says that her lead single is catchy.. so If Gaga says It Is. Americano 31,061
Bryan has in the past written off both Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber as becoming irrelavent before there most recent albums smashed. Same situation - Taylor takes 2 years between albums, her tour was smashing, but her singles and buzz weren't what they were previous era. And last year at this time, he was thinking TTT was gonna slay the world. I still stand by that Bieber is losing relevance, look at the AMA ratings. I don't take responsibility for Def Jam mishandling her eras.
Jake 0
The new Ke$ha song  Getting really excited for Warrior. I really like her new logo too. EDIT: Looks like Die Young also topped pop songs today. Coming back strong!
Gerrard174 686
I still stand by that Bieber is losing relevance, look at the AMA ratings. His singles' performance on both radio and itunes disagree though. This era he is doing great on single sales and radio seems to embrace his songs. The fact that he has 2 consecutive smash hits (boyfriend and ALAYLM) and BaaB is onits way to smash proves that as much as i hate him, he isn't going anywhere though, like Lady Gaga. EDIT: Looks like Die Young also topped pop songs today. Coming back strong! I'm happy for her. :) She seems to know her niche, and she rolls with it. The GP is here for party music, infectious lyrics, and clean / catchy beats. Based off of the 30 second snippets I've heard, her album seems to be following that same formula. The down side of satisfying the wants of the GP is that there, usually, is little room artistic development and experimental music.

I want more songs like The Harold Song I'm sure critics will bash her again this time ...
EarnYourLeather 231
so true ... I want more songs like The Harold Song I'm sure critics will bash her again this time ... It's one of the things I truly appreciate about GaGa - her artistic development and experimental side. If you played The Fame and Born This Way, it would be hard to tell that it is the SAME artist. Vocally and sonically, it's like night and day ... But this comes at a cost. Songs like Judas and MTN will have a rough time on the charts.

Judas does not differ from her usual style though... i bet it is the religious content that cause the radio stations to drop it off MTN though is very different in a sense. The ending is too long for a radio hit song
