They aren't completely talentless but they aren't exactly oozing aesthetic appeal. As for Ke$ha and Nicki; their image is perfectly made (and digitally edited, ha!) by their (not-so) talented teams. All of them (with the exception of Lana) are sell outs. Ke$ha relies on the generic sound of Dr Luke to remain successful. Nicki Minaj requires tacky outfits, gone-wrong surgeries and and a bunch of gays who want to seem tough for liking rap music as a fan base. Marina shaded Dr Luke and Katy Perry for how generic and pathetic they were, one year later and she's making music with the former and touring with the latter.
