saltface 178
- C'mon seems to be going down. Thank god, hate that song + Kesha needs to taste a flop besides her album sales. - Dont understand why Suit & Tie is being so huge - I'd rather have Gaga peak at #1 in its debut week than 1st week being #40/#90 that would be pretty scary. She is too big to have such low first week positions. She can hit #1 on its debut week if she plays the cards right, but you never know. It will be a hit anyway. I don't mind a #90 debut if it's from a single debuting on a Monday and just the two days of airplay causing it to chart

Pure Adrenaline 1,518
Agreed. It worked with Taylor Swift, and hopefully, it'd do the same for Gaga. A hot-shot debut at #1 in the HOT 100 chart seems implausible anyway, given with the new rules. Not even Boyfriend was able to do it, despite its 521K opening week sales. As for S&T, it's being predicted to sell between 330K - 350K by the end of the tracking week. And with over 31 million audience impressions already garnered since its release, it's expected to debut this week, based alone on the AI. This reminds me of how WANEGBT debuted last year as well. well BTW had only 3 days and made 500K if BTw was released on Monday how it was scheduled it probably made around 1M sales in the opening week, if this time Gaga play her cards with Monday release, some good radio deals and a little hype here and there I see no problem for her debuting #1 even with the new rules Honestly, it's Ke$ha's label. They tried to play it super safe this era but it backfired on them. Even if C'mon were to become a hit, it wouldn't move any albums. You need to take some risks to convince people to spend $15 on you. she should take a lesson from da queen Gagz :nacho: no but srsly imagine what would Gaga be if she played safe we wouldn't have BR instead of it probably BBB Starstruck and she would have become the next Katt Perr milking her album to death with albums that are made up for the radio with same stupid beat and plain lyrics ...ohhh just :pukey: Stay was such a flop choice. Right Now is already doing really well. PIU is doing better as well Digital Songs 1. Macklemore & Lewis Thrift Shop 279K [1,663,000] 2. Deacon 5
I've been anticipating JT's comeback for years. Here it is, and I haven't listened to "Suit & Tie" since the night it premiered... and I still don't care to lol. I hope his next single is much more intriguing. kupo 201
As much as I just think the JT track is "good" and by no means "great," I'm thrilled to see it doing well out of the gate. Radio's been in dire need of a makeover, and this past year (despite being generally miserable in mainstream pop) has proven that there's an audience out there for different sounds. That said: so fukcing happy for Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' unexpected success. I'm positively giddy for them. :legend:

Magoo 6
That's on airplay alone I presume? Forever confused about Hot 100 rules lol It says "Among the Hot 100's seven debuts is Justin Timberlake's "Suit & Tie" at No. 84, his first entry as a lead artist in more than five years. The lead single from his forthcoming album "The 20/20 Experience" starts at No. 33 on Radio Songs with 36 million airplay impressions totaled in its first two days of airplay, as it was released at midnight Monday morning (Jan. 14) Radio Songs runs on a Wednesday-through-Tuesday tracking period, so Monday and yesterday's airplay alone spurs the song's Hot 100 debut. Sales and streaming data run on a Monday-through-Sunday cycle, so those data fields will affect the Hot 100 standing for "Suit" starting next week. As it's projected to sell between 330,000 and 350,000 downloads by the end of the SoundScan tracking week on Sunday night (Jan. 20), and with a full week's-worth of streaming data factored in, as well, the song could challenge for the top of the Hot 100 when the chart is compiled, and highlights are posted on Billboard.com, next Wednesday (Jan. 23). Its airplay, however, may not be high enough by then for it to challenge for the No. 1 slot, although a vault to the top five is a possibility.."
