before Lady Gaga POP/dance music wasnt popular but when Gaga came in whole music world changed

Steve Jobs=changed technologies

Lady Gaga=changed music forever

There's a flaw with that logic haha. Steve Jobs actually created NEW technology. It's not like Iphones were never popular before him. He CREATED that. Lady Gaga didn't create dance music. She must brought it back. MAJOR DIFFERENCE

The media tries to pull it with Gaga, making fun of her weight and slinging insults at her when she's doing candid outfits, but she's (for the most part) ignored it.

The only time Gaga seemed to lose control was in the NME interview last year, and the year prior when she stormed off of a photoshoot crying when she felt uncomfortable.

Gaga seems to be very strong as it is her team.. She succesfully went through all the bull****s about her being a shemale and etc :X I don't know what can be worst than that. And she manage to use these things to become more and more popular and instead of breaking her down It seems to help her being relievent.

And btw I'm both defending and attacking britney for her work and her past :D Because she can do a lot better than this song with will I am even without dancing and with autotuned voice.

lol... songs like CMM, Payphone, Katy songs, etc are hated by most people here (esp coz those songs hit number 1) coz they thought they're crap and generic an undeserving while S&S is being loved (even it has an undeserving quality) by many people here just bcoz Brit is there...

Stans are really stans... :smh:

Payphone stopped at #2 :lolgaga:

Actually neither has Steve Jobs.

Most of his ideas were extremely inspired by stuff that already existed, but werent very popular.

Teens dance to this at parties when they're drunk as **** and higher than a Starship.

I like Scream & Shout, so I don't really have concern for the "artistic" output from Britney Spears.

To be quite frank, I listen to Lady Gaga who essentially sold out musically to become famous. I mean, listen to her pre-fame music and then listen to her debut album.

If I'm turning it onto stations like Z100 and KIIS FM, and picking out songs I like from the Hot 100, I'm contributing to the manufactured nature of the industry anyway. Contrary to a lot of her fans, I don't see Lady Gaga as different than any of the other stars that are currently part of the "machine."

:tea:

I know I'm a little late to this party, but you don't see Lady Gaga any differently than other stars? Why are you here then? I'm not trying to be rude at all, it's just strange to me that you can think that and still be a stan rather than a casual listener.

PS-for what it's worth, she innovated pop music too by putting dance music into style with The Fame and I don't think any of us doubt her musical innovation during The Fame Monster and Born This Way. Furthermore we can't say that she sold out. None of us have any idea of what kind of music she would have made if she had acsess to real producers and studio tools during the Red and Blue years.

I like Gaga because I love pop music and I love all the performances, visuals, and ideas behind her music. However, I don't deny that she isn't a mainstream dance artist that makes generic music to become popular.

Radio isn't as essential as it once was. It doesn't have to pick up a song to make or keep it a mega-hit.

When I was a fan during TFM era, I didn't deny the fact that I loved a generic pop star, but after the BTW era, I don't see how people can say she's still generic...
