Klou 2,414
Unapologetic's Metacritic score had dropped to 62. That officially makes it her worst rated album, and deservedly so.
CoolTrainerTerry 1,403
I'm trying so hard to understand, maybe someone here can help explain this to me. :) Now, and correct me if I'm wrong at any point, 'TTT' sold 198k debut week in the US last year - slightly BELOW RihRih's (that's what we Navi like to call her) last album - WITH the BIGGEST #1 hit of her entire career, but 'Unapologetic' is gonna sell between 225,000-250,000 this year with a moderate #1 hit? Please explain. Thanks. :) You've got me. I don't really see anyone clamoring for new Rihanna music, so this just really baffles me.
heavyMetalGAGA 65
Home and Ho Hey can leave the top 10, in my opinion. Actually, they can leave the top 40, too. No. Soo much better than Maroon 5's crap & Justin Bieber & Nicki Minaj. And Diamonds! I will keep Home and Ho Hey in the US thank you very much talent >> substance :nacho: Unapologetic's Metacritic score had dropped to 62. That officially makes it her worst rated album, and deservedly so. I agree with you on this one though Yeah. I considered buying her album. But then I thought to myself "When am I ever really going to pull this out and listen to it because I want to?" I have never had an urge to listen to Ke$ha. I just listen to her when she's on. She's even on my iPod and I don't listen to her. God bless her stans, but god her music is so generic. It's even worse when she went around promising to reinvent pop music. It's just the same old Ke$ha. Hahah true!
CrownClown 105
I absolutely agree with most of you guys - she deserves more. I think her problem is that she wants to be young and fresh, be able to put out an album like Lady Gaga where she can make her own definition of music. However, In my opinion Christina Aguilera is a legend with a voice of Gold. Lotus is a great album - but it's not Christina. She should try out more Adele/Beyonce type of music. And it's a shame she dresses like a kid. Classy Christina Aguilera with a white sparkling or a red dress with an amazing song. Christinas voice > Adele All of this :legend:
Valentino 4
You've got me. I don't really see anyone clamoring for new Rihanna music, so this just really baffles me. Hmmm yeah.... if I didn't know any better, I'd think her label paid for it by buying her album themselves, but I know better... they'd never do that. :)
Ozzy8923 9
The most predominant reason that I can pin point for Unapologetic selling better than all of Rihanna's other albums in its first week is the fact that she released a ballad as the lead single. Believe or not, dance tracks are nice and efficient when it comes to getting those big statistics sales wise and those nice chart placements but ballads sell albums MUCH better than dance songs and that is one of the factors that helped this album. If she releases Stay as the second single, sales will probably be quite consistent and the album might go Platinum much quicker than its predecessor. Please explain. Thanks. :) I think it MUST come down to better marketing at the retail level, or discounts, etc. Rihanna dropped from 163k to 99k debut in the UK, almost 40%. Maybe her team learned something from Taylor and Gaga's opening success, and their past opening failures. Rihanna is typically a steady seller in albums, just not that good at debuting high. Ozzy8923 9
For those of you interested: FREE STREAM OF WARRIOR on iTunes. Great quality. Clean Version, STANDARD edition. Link: http://atrl.net/foru...ad.php?t=308457 I'm on song #4 so far! I'm seeing a consistent pattern of killer verses followed by slightly more demure choruses that are disappointing. Kind of like Judas has those majestic industrial verses and then the poppy chorus afterwards (except this one is for the entire album :pukey:).
