Bad 32
Why is everyone pretending that OMN is the worst song ever and that it's flopping WW? It's so much better than ****ty gangnam style :S And I don't see why you guys want songs that sell much to go #1, so all songs that tops the itunes chart should go #1? OMN is a good song but it clearly wouldn't be #1 if the Hot 100 didn't give so much weight to airplay. That's the problem. The chart doesn't represent what consumers want. Gangnam Style has beaten M5 in sales and streaming for a few weeks now but has been stuck at #2 because of airplay. Fun fact: One More Night wouldn't have even spent a single week at #1 if the Hot 100 still used the old formula.
Babel 41,301
It's a worldwide hit, unfortunately. It's big here in Asia. Of course, to me it's rather forgettable, but radio rarely plays decent requests anymore anyway. Well I guess it depends on the country, but here in South America you barely listen to that song or people talking about it. And considering Moves Like Jagger and Payphone were much more popular than OMN, GS is like 300x times more popular, that's why I don't get how is OMN > GS in the US radio.. Americano 31,061
Radio doesn't even listen to buyers anymore, comparing iTunes to airplay. They should do away with radio weight on the Hot 100. I really do think radio has been taken over by shady backroom deals by labels, partly endorsed by Gaga herself with her series of radio deals during the BTW era and the whole "I'll play at your jingle balls if you play my music" wink, etc.

Even though I did say OMN is a worldwide hit, GS is even bigger. It's a true 2012 hit, like STIUTK and CMM.
Klou 2,414
Too bad that didn't work for MTN MTN flopping was a horrible, anxiety charged moment for myself and others, but I have to admit it's kinda fun to poke fun of it all the time :P

sspearss 0
OMN has been top 5 on itunes for months so I do think it deserves the #1 spot. I really like the song too.

Lost in Paradise was the best song on Evanescence's last album. I'm almost appalled she's using the same name on her lame track list.
boysboysboys 278
MTN flopping was a horrible, anxiety charged moment for myself and others, but I have to admit it's kinda fun to poke fun of it all the time :P It had a sad ending, but it was actually a funny time here, like a great community and everyone was doing what they could and sharing, and cracking jokes and stuff, while Gaga gave out flawless performance after flawless performance... Arturo 40,746
I love Diamonds, but Ri gurl, when I saw that Jeff tweeted THAT, I was dying. That is perhaps the worst track list on a pop album ever

I'm going to put it out there and say it possibly MADE the US Chart Discussion into one of the best (if not the best) thread ;) And yes, Americano, you helped too :P
