Ok it doesnt really matter about having the 99 cent deal because it's not like people who DIDN'T want the album bought it because it was 99 cents. Wasnt the deal for only like.... a day? Get real, how many albums on Amazon really sold that day compared to what the entire album debuted at? Srsly. Take your TaylorStan goggles off. Well, the Amazon sale was two days and sold 440,000 units which was about 40% of BTW's sales. Well damn was I wrong. sorry @ Echo but that still leads me to the point that people who went on Amazon not knowing about the deal still would have bought it full price. People would've raised that to about exactly 1M, even just a little more or less, on their own. You already pointed that out, so stop there. It's pointless to keep dragging the Amazon deal with BTW. Projections had her around 800 and he second week super drop was partially caused by the huge amount of albums bought through Amazon. Don't be so pressed that you're blind to facts and math. Just because she can't pull a million week without help doesn't discredit her huge sales or her undeniable success. She's a pop artist! BTW would have debuted between 800-900k! That's incredible in 2012! And we were discussing album sales and opening weeks which includes the Amazon deal. I'm not dragging it, I'm just saying that if it wasn't possible for her to debut with 1 million while coming off the biggest success of her career, she ain't gonna do that with ARTPOP. She has to earn love back to debut close to BTW now, which is more than just putting out something catchy. Minaj had a dismal first week right after the second biggest hit of her career. Katy too.
