If Taylor doesn't, then she'd rather not beat Gaga's too. Could we break record with ARTPOP? im here to spend as much money as she needs to beat it and i just started to buy legally maybe others started too so who knows maybe we could make it! what do you think? Of course I'll buy ARTPOP, and gift it too. However, things aren't looking very good for Gaga promo-wise. The press is predisposed to bash her, while haters left and right continue to lie and drag her down. If I were you, I'd rather not focus on sales. I doubt it. Selling 1 mil+ is very difficult to do these days. Taylor just makes it look easy Gaga doesn't have the kind of mass appeal that Taylor does. She was just burned badly by people in the industry that are jealous of her, but she will recover and with a better strategy she'll do away with all negativity. By mass appeal I meant that Taylor has a large audience being a "country" singer with pop crossover appeal. Gaga has a large and devoted fanbase but most of them are pop music fans which don't buy albums quite like country music fans do. Plus, Gaga is very polarizing. It is true that Gaga is probably the only true polarizing pop star since Eminem, Madonna and Britney. Kelly new single "Catch My Breath" is really great. Good job. Xtina should take notes on how to manage a strong voice on a pop song. Your Body is constant scream in your hear while Kelly did a great job merging her voice and a great production. Born This Way couldn't have done it without Amazon, and that was when she had extreme momentum. With good marketing and singles ARTPOP will sell loads though. Nothing to worry about. Billboard's projections were around 850,000. Besides, the US loved her then. The amount of momentum she lost is undeniable. EDIT: And of course I want it to outsell BTW's first week, I just know that it won't be possible without something major like a Poker Face level hit.
