Alii 2,039
This thread has been dead ever since the Taylor Swift hype died down. And a thought I've been having: How many people in this section actually understand how the radio works and how to read the charts associated with it? Because I am just gathering the impression that most people here just focus on sales and pretend like the radio doesn't even exist haha. With that said, here are some pop/chr radio updates for 10/26/12: 11 10 PSY Gangnam Style 7142 6939 203 52.367 + 25 spins + 4 bullet − 0.869 audience 15 13 RIHANNA Diamonds 6681 5704 977 46.991 +118 Spins -48 Bullet +1.231 Audience 3 3 TAYLOR SWIFT We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together 12520 12187 333 79.430 +31 Spins -69 Bullet -0.303 Audience 19 19 CHRISTINA AGUILERA Your Body 3789 3822 -33 21.129 -1 Spin -19 Bullet -0.286 Audience 38 38 ADELE Skyfall 1008 929 79 3.996 + 12 spins + 0 bullet + 0.047 audience 51 44 NICKI MINAJ Va Va Voom 690 203 487 7.700 + 116 spins + 77 bullet + 1.156 audience 44 43 CARLY RAE JEPSEN This Kiss 721 526 195 2.378 + 28 spins − 5 bullet + 0.086 audience 17 15 BRUNO MARS Locked Out Of Heaven 5633 4829 804 38.987 + 153 spins + 46 bullet + 0.968 audience I think that means the radio is supporting Rihanna more than any other artist now :toofloppy:

WarriorPrince 1
Anyone hating on One More Night needs to turn on their radios. Because apparently you don't realize how big it is. That song is played nonstop. Honey, just because a song is played non stop on radios it doesnt mean that it is big. No one cares about the radio anymore. People just care about how it will help (or not) their favorite artists in the charts. When a song goes #1 for six weeks in the US, it always meant that it was big worldwide but outside the US most people dont even know OMN.

hausofmike 127
Through four days of availability, "Red" has already reportedly sold around 900,000 copies Full: As previously reported, Taylor Swift is charging toward a million-unit sales week and a no-doubt-about-it No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200 with her fourth album, "Red." Industry sources still peg final week sales (which run through Oct. 28) at around the 1.1 million mark, which would make the album the 18th in the Nielsen SoundScan era to surpass 1 million in sales in a week. Such a sum would also anoint Swift as the only female to have two albums surpass seven figures in a single sales frame. Her last effort, "Speak Now," opened with 1.047 million the week of Nov. 13, 2010. Through four days of availability, "Red" has already reportedly sold around 900,000 copies. -Billboard
