Klou 2,414
I can't at nicki shooting a ****ing video for Come On A Cone. I thought that was the worst song on the album, too. It's almost like she's trying to compete for most sloppy album era ever.
MANiCURE1295 8,673
The Speak Now era wasn't exactly a walk in paradise for Taylor, either. It kind of reminds me of the Born This Way era in the sense that the album did extremely well, but the singles could have performed better. I still think that Born This Way's singles did way better than Taylor's Speak Now singles, though. Gaga will do fine and MTN will be forgotten as long as her new material is good. Exactly. Besides Mine and Mean I can't remember a single that did well.

CoolTrainerTerry 1,307
A large part of Taylor dominating the Top 20 has to do with iTunes not having the Complete My Album feature for the first 15 hours, which meant people who bought the promo singles either had to buy the whole album, or buy the tracks they didn't have seperately. Which then carried over to the GP seeing the songs in the top and buying the ones they liked, sending them up even higher. So a screw-up (?) by iTunes helped Taylor out yet again (selling WANEGBT early and then still counting it for the record). Congrats to her. I don't like her, but that is absolutely insane.

ryhanna 3,507
Taylor's literally slaying everything, wow. Congrats to her, she really deserves it. (Speak Now is a better album though )

Exactly what I said on the last page. Speak Now = Born This Way. By the way, ask someone if he knows MTN and he's probably say yes. Nobody knows this songs under perform (for Gaga standard), and it is quite ridiculous people might think that. Not everybody follow the charts. Klou 2,414
She took that title a long time ago. Then she must me REALLY trying to make sure no one gets that crown for decades to come :toofloppy: I like that song lol Hate champion. Sex in the lounge. Nicki Minaj Oh... craig 680
Swift currently boasts approximately half of the iTunes top singles, due to the fact the online retailer's “Complete My Album†function was down for the first 15 hours that the album was available, which might account for the large number of track sales as consumers may have opted to buy the songs a la carte. That could have interesting effects on albums sales. If Taylor "deserves" success, it's more for her good marketing than her music. It does show you don't need constant success on pop radio and constant media hype to maintain album sales.

Ozzy8923 9
I honestly think that having at least one single under perform per album is completely rational and that many fans overreacted with Gaga. I mean, unless Gaga releases 3-4 singles for ARTPOP then I would expect another song to under perform. Big names like Beyonce, Britney Spears, Madonna (), even Rihanna have singles under perform all the time. I really don't see the big deal. It was bound to happen at some point. Regarding Bryan's post about Taylor having more momentum than Speak Now, I disagree. After SN, Taylor Swift suffered from having a lack of hit singles (the best selling single from SN only went Double Platinum) and in comparison to the Fearless era than it is evident that Taylor experienced a large decline. I mean, she barely had any POP radio support that era. And now look at her!
