CrownClown 105
I thought Rihanna might have come & stole that weave. Hmm... hopefully with ARTPOP, that will change. But anyways, congrats on Rihanna... for that. & Omg... Sia... Don't worry I'm sure ARTPOP will come soon and will slay lives :worship:

But anyways, congrats on Rihanna... for that. & Omg... Sia... Gaga is only 5 million or so away from Rihanna in terms of digital sales. Like someone mentioned, the only reason Rihanna is the #1 digital artist is because she constantly releases new music.

zNetworkMonster 1
itunes generally runs an offer whereby one can buy any released songs off an album first, and then later upgrade it to the whole digital album by paying the price of the album less the price of the songs already purchased. That both encourages the public to eventually buy the whole album (because it might only be a couple of $ to complete it) so boosting the album's sales, and also to buy the promo singles knowing they'll get the money back when they buy the album. However in doing so the sales of any such songs are negated. Typically the sales of singles are reduced by approximately 20% of those of the album (from past experience). It shows up as the songs for the week of album release having a much lower charting position than otherwise expected. So if Taylor sells 1 million copies of the album, then around 200K of those sales could be by "the complete my album" method, and the corresponding sales of songs subtracted. Obviously if people buy the songs digitally then a physical copy of the album then both count, but they'll have paid more. thanks

Klou 2,414
Let's all bid adieu to Taylor and her chart shenanigans for the meantime. Not yet. Her album tracks will likely crowd the top 10 next week.
boysboysboys 278
Not yet. Her album tracks will likely crowd the top 10 next week. Crossing my fingers! I hope none of them stay. I never thought Taylor would try to play the numbers game as well as lie about demand :( Why?
CrownClown 105
Do you think Ke$ha will be #1 on the Hot100 once the video comes out? And when is it coming out?
boysboysboys 278
Do you think Ke$ha will be #1 on the Hot100 once the video comes out? And when is it coming out? If Gangnam Style and Maroon 5 won't fade off so soon, and if the promo will be as lank as it is now, then no probably, even though I'm really okay with her getting it. Tommymonster44 0
Do you think Ke$ha will be #1 on the Hot100 once the video comes out? And when is it coming out? Probably not. Not because the song isn't doing well, but there is tons of competition at the moment. So many big artists have newly released singles and only one or two of them will be able to reach number one. I wish that she would have released the singles a few months ago when the charts were completely dead. She could have easily debuted at number one..or at least have hit it after a week or two. Now, though, there's way too much competition. However, keep your optimism, because a lot of people over at pulse are thinking this will go number one :) With that said, here's today's radio updates of some songs this board might be interested in: Die Young (officially a top 10 chr/pop hit): chr/pop 13 10 KE$HA Die Young 6990 5762 1228 49.821 + 190 spins + 22 bullet + 1.028 audience HAC 25 21 KE$HA Die Young 1082 728 354 6.671 +30 spins -22 bullet +0.117 audience Rhythmic 38 29 KE$HA Die Young 976 713 263 5.172 +37 spins +22 bullet +0.206 audience Gangnam Style 12 11 PSY Gangnam Style 6939 6207 732 53.862 + 20 spins − 136 bullet + 0.638 audience Your Body 22 19 CHRISTINA AGUILERA Your Body 3822 3723 99 22.352 +18 Spins +43 Bullet -0.066 Audience This Kiss: 51 44 CARLY RAE JEPSEN This Kiss 526 309 217 1.689 + 33 spins + 11 bullet + 0.107 audience Skyfall: 34 38 ADELE Skyfall 929 1211 -282 3.653 +12 Spins -48 Bullet +0.119 Audience Diamonds: 18 15 RIHANNA Diamonds 5704 4571 1133 40.448 +166 Spins +2 Bullet +0.986 Audience
