Anytime a Republican decreases healthcare coverage it brings medicare for all a step further away, anytime a Democrat increases healthcare coverage, it brings medicare for all a step closer (next to saving hundreds of thousands of people's lives, but some 'progressives' think that's not good enough). I'm a progressive and I support Sanders, but Trump enablers (like you) are just as bad as Trump supporters come November. A thought experiment: you had to choose between 10 people's lives being saved and 5 people's lives being saved. Of course you'd choose the 10 people. That's what you (hopefully) did by voting for Sanders in the primaries. But now the options have changed, and you can only choose between 10 people being killed or 5 people's being saved. That's also the problem here, it's not about luxury. It's about solidarity with the people suffering from the rise in white supremacist terrorism, with those who can't afford healthcare or those that work two jobs to pay off debts, and can't call in sick. Those people don't have the luxury to choose the path of life they get, and swallowing your pride to vote for a Biden is the least you could do to show your support, even if it's just a symbolic gesture. Besides, a popular vote win but electoral college loss would, in the long-term, increase the likelihood of electoral reform, and decrease the legitimacy of a Trump presidency from the start.
