Numbers. Num-bers. Completely quantitative. Their point system. I don't know exactly what it is, but I know each position on the chart is worth a number of points. Add that up, boom, these are the 50 songs with a female writing credit with the most points.

I don't know why I always have this wrong info in my mind that BR was blockbuster, broke all sales, chart, download, stream, radio records and was one of the biggest hit of all time. When I don't see it anywhere in rankings like this, it feels like BR was manually removed.

what in the world is this list? that was a lot of information to take in so i tried to remember like 2 things  number one that the only alicia keys song to make it on there was no one, like that is not her best. that paula abdul made it on the list at all is another thing. and the fact that adele's someone like you was so far back. that song has one of the best written lines in probably the last 10 years:

"You know how the time flies
Only yesterday was the time of our lives
We were born and raised in a summer haze
Bound by the surprise of our glory days"

that's as poetic as a song gets for me. 

and bad romance should have been on the list imo. at least top 30. 

and just off the top of my head, "fast car" by what's her face should have been on the list too. top 30 imo. i did agree with mariah carey and we belong together though. that's a great song

She co-writes. She's not really known to be a songwriter anyway.

ehh all these years i thought she wrote that song about J. kinda lifts ne-yo up in my estimation, it's a good song. and interesting to listen to from the male perspective and knowing he wrote it.

This thread was such an embarrassing fail by the OP. This is not about songs written by women. The link says nothing about songwriting. This is not Gaga news when she is not even included. LMAO. What a waste of time.
