Cookie Tookie 10,546
Some of the worst songs I’ve heard in my life. Yet you gays eat it up like breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The first one is just WAY too loud and obnoxious, doesn’t sound good in any way and is more electro than pop by any means and the second is more of a recycled 80‘s beat, so I don’t see the future of Pop in those songs

These are just my favorite tracks of the artists I think will shape the 2020s in terms of musical landscape. And the "recycled 80s beat" is actually a whole music genre that came up in the early to mid 2010s called "retrowave" ( also "synthwave" ). A popular example which even charts worldwide in Top 10 you might know: I think and hope this style of music will find its way into mainstream pop music. Spoiler There are countless 1 hour mixes of Retrowave on YT, here's just one of it: And regarding SOPHIE: Ponyboy is just one very intense example of what music is capable of ( in terms of production ) and the whole Vroom Vroom EP by Charli XCX is produced by SOPHIE. And the fact Gaga worked with her and we might get that collab on Chromatica speeks volumes about the kind of power and force SOPHIE already has on pop music and I hope she brings this new kind of music into the mainstream pop as well Ew, David!
